It was the worst summer of my life. All summer long everything, seemed to go wrong. None of my friend wrote me, nobody called me, and nobody visits me. My parents went to ireland but I was expected to stay behind and watch my kid brother. To top it off, my parents decided to leave my Aunt Maybelle in charge who has basically hated me forever. To me this was the worst summer ever.

Tom Riddle's employment at Borgin and Burkes fed his fascination for ancient, historical artifacts. Through the course of his work, he encountered famous relics of the founders of his school that felt like his very first home. Hepzibah Smith informed Riddle that she had paid Mr. Burke a heft price for The Locket of Salazar Slytherin, who originally obtained it from a distraught young woman in desperate need of money. Riddle knew that he was, in fact, a descendent of Salazar Slytherin, and realized that the woman she spoke of must have been his mother. He believed the Locket to be rightfully his.
Pursuers in The Quest for the Horcruxes
face a heavy burden: keeping a Horcrux safe without a means to destroy it. The shred of Voldemort's soul possessing it drained those who wore it both emotionally and mentally.

The Quibbler is returning from a bit of a hiatus. Why? We all went on a badass vacation, and, to make up for our absence, we're bringing you all of the juiciest stories! From a chilling expose on the horrors secretly contained within the Three Broomsticks to hearing about Heather's chicken finger fascination, my inability to function like a normal person when given a certain variety of ice tea, and - you guessed it - Rima's checkered knickers, the best place to get the scoop is none other than Hex's #1 source for trufax news!
If you have any questions or concerns about the Quibbler or its content, please owl Tori Tendleswift, Aiden Jakorr or one of its editors, myself or Marluxia. Thanks and enjoy the issue!

He had already made one Horcrux, tearing his soul in two in the process. He had plans to do the unthinkable, though, and tear it five more times to split his soul into seven fragments. Voldemort hoped to make his second murder a little more meaningful than his first and paid a brief visit to his uncle and mother's old house before comiting the unthinkable. He sought revenge against his Muggle father for abandoning him and his mother.
This week Voldemort confronts his past. He frames his uncle for his father's murder and unknowingly creates a Horcrux from one of the three Deathly Hallows. The Quest for the Horcruxes

Hogwarts Extreme invites you to participate in the film release event, The Quest for the Horcruxes
, to celebrate the worldwide opening of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
. With more than fifty prizes to be won, this eight week long event should help you cope with the sad realization that the final Harry Potter film is finally here. All seven horcruxes are up for grabs, not to mention the three Deathly Hallows themselves.
Will you have what it takes to conquer and destroy all seven torn fragments of Voldemort's soul and face him in the final battle?
Voldemort made his first Horcrux from his very own diary while still at Hogwarts. Even at such a young age, Voldemort thirsted for power and immortality. He began his first steps towards both with the murder of an unfortunate Ravenclaw girl.
This week we explore the creation of Voldemort's very first Horcrux-- from the tracking of his victim to the ritual by which he first tore his soul.
To coincide with the start of the event and the release of the film next week, Hogwarts Extreme has adopted a new spoiler policy to prevent anyone who doesn't wish to be spoiled from learning too much about the film before its release. It can be found here
. Everyone is advised to read this policy, as it applies to the entire site rather than just the event forum.
