The Ordinary Wizarding Levels and Nastily Exhausting Wizarding Tests are finally available for the taking. The Ministry of Magic extends its sincerest apology for the delay. Apparently there was a mixup during the ordering process a few months ago and the Ministry received a large shipment of the Sizable Abraxan Trials and Applicable Cockatrice Tests instead.
The problem has been corrected, thankfully. Students in the fifth year who accumulated one hundred or more points are eligible for the Ordinary Wizarding Levels. Students in the seventh year who accumulated one hundred or more points are eligible for the Nastily Exhausting Wizarding Tests. Students who pass (achieve a grade of Acceptable or higher) in a to-be-determined number of subjects will receive a prize for their efforts at a later date.
Begin the Ordinary Wizarding Levels.
Begin the Nastily Exhausting Wizarding Tests.
All examinations should be completed by September 4th.

Now that we're all soon to return to classes and the long nights of doing homework and preparing for tests at good old Hogwarts, we'll need something quite special to ready our minds. What could be more special than a picnic in the ever dangerous Forbidden Forest? Now, don't give me that look - I promise you it'll be just fantastic! Among the dark trees and strange animals we will eat together, tell stories and, of course, play games and have fun!"
Please
join us in the Welcome Center for a Picnic in the Forbidden Forest!

You might have seen the RPC's Teaching Center over the last year. Well, the RPC Mods and Admins are looking for some awesome users to help us out in there. We are hoping to hire two Teaching School "secretaries."
Under the supervision, and with the help, of the RPC Mods, these secretaries will be in charge of managing and maintaining the Role-Play Teaching School. You will be responsible for the majority of the hiring of RP teachers, keeping the school active, and organizing new and graduating students.
We're looking for individuals who are not just very active users, but also people who are organized and creative. And don't worry if you aren't an RPer--you can still apply!
Think this sounds like something just for you? If so, owl the following application to the RPC Mods account by August 28th.
Name:
Hours spent on HEX per week:
Past leadership experience (on or off HEX):
Are you normally very organized/efficient:
Why are you interested in this position:
How often do your participate in role playing (on or off HEX):
If you have any questions, feel free to owl
Holly,
Adam, or
Nicole. Also if you're interested in becoming a student or a teacher in the RP School, keep your eyes peeled!
It will NOT count against you if you do not RP. All HEX mods are also welcome to apply.

After much deliberation, the dates of the economic events to come and the "final" draft of items to be deleted from the site have been worked out. Please note, that changes to this list are possible, but unlikely, so keep your eyes peeled just in case.
I will place this list in the second post of the thread that accompanies this announcement, located HERE. The changes to the list have been carefully made, taking into account some of what users said they would like to see deleted in the last thread.
From August 15th to August 25th, a raffle featuring items that were previously uncirculated will be held. This raffle will serve a few purposes. First it will be a way to redistribute items that have been laying around in deleted accounts back to the users. Secondly, it will be your first opportunity to trade your doomed items in.
Don't worry, if the raffle isn't for you, you will be given a two week period following it to trade your remaining items on the list for removal for a predetermined amount of galleons. This will run from August 26th to September 9th. The details for this will be posted the day it begins, so that you will know exactly what to do.
