Daily Prophet - February Official Discussion

Hi there, readers! For February's discussion, we will be taking a look back at last month's edition of The Daily Prophet. January's Daily Prophet was all about New Year's resolutions. We are now in the second month of the year, and I must stay, I'm still going strong in sticking to one of my resolutions. Giving up fizzy juice, however... well let's just say that there's room for improvement. I write as I eye the can of soda on my desk. Some resolutions are harder than others to maintain, and some just mean more to you than others. If you haven't had a chance to read January's Daily Prophet, then head over here and check it out. Once you've done that, come back and tell us your thoughts!

Here are some questions to consider:
- What was you favourite article in January's edition of the Daily Prophet? Why?
- Did you make any New Year's resolutions? If so, what were they? Have you stuck to them?
- If you did not make any New Year's resolutions, why not?
- If the Resolution Rescuer were to steal something from you to make sure you stick to your New Year's resolutions, what would it be and why would it ensure you keep those resolutions?
- One of the most common New Year's resolutions is improving one's diet. Do you have a fun recipe for a healthy snack that you would like to share?
- Conversely, some of the more mischievous among us may wish to cut down on the number of pranks to which they subject their loved ones! Do you have any fun tips for avoiding a family prank war?

- Did you make any New Year's resolutions? If so, what were they? Have you stuck to them?
Just the usual “lose weight” nonsense. It really is important for me to lose weight as I need a surgery, but doctors are wary to operate until I reduce my BMI. My condition isn’t life threatening, so it’s part of the deal.

- If you did not make any New Year's resolutions, why not?
I don’t believe I’m likely to keep to most resolutions, and I’d rather avoid feeling like a failure. I have very low willpower and self-discipline. I already have a long-term resolution to give up fizzy drinks (!) which have I managed to keep to for the best part of a year now. That’s plenty for me.

- If the Resolution Rescuer were to steal something from you to make sure you stick to your New Year's resolutions, what would it be and why would it ensure you keep those resolutions?
I mean if we want to get really serious, if anyone took my baby they’d have complete power over me to make me do anything. However, they’d also make an enemy for life and I would very genuinely kill them if I had the opportunity.

- One of the most common New Year's resolutions is improving one's diet. Do you have a fun recipe for a healthy snack that you would like to share?
No. Healthy snacks are no fun. That’s why dieting is hard.

- Conversely, some of the more mischievous among us may wish to cut down on the number of pranks to which they subject their loved ones! Do you have any fun tips for avoiding a family prank war?
My family doesn’t really prank. I guess to avoid a prank war, one could just… not play pranks. Then it wouldn’t be a war.

What was you favourite article in January's edition of the Daily Prophet? Why?
ECONOMY By Faithful Puppy. It's a realistic article on resolutions.
Did you make any New Year's resolutions? If so, what were they? Have you stuck to them?
No. I never make New Year's resolutions. Why set yourself up for failure?
If you did not make any New Year's resolutions, why not?
It's a total waste of time. Most resolutions never get completed. Life gets in the way. Then you feel bad because you didn't complete the resolution.
If the Resolution Rescuer were to steal something from you to make sure you stick to your New Year's resolutions, what would it be and why would it ensure you keep those resolutions?
I don't think there is anything the Resolution Rescuer could take to make me keep a resolution. If I keep one...I keep it because I would want to, not because I would be forced to. I think it would be wrong to take something that didn't belong to you. If I caught the person stealing I would have them arrested on theft charges. (and if not family...breaking and entering as well)
One of the most common New Year's resolutions is improving one's diet. Do you have a fun recipe for a healthy snack that you would like to share?
I don't cook. I don't snack. I eat two meals a day. It's all fruits and veggies so I don't need to worry about adding anything healthy to my diet.
- Conversely, some of the more mischievous among us may wish to cut down on the number of pranks to which they subject their loved ones! Do you have any fun tips for avoiding a family prank war?
I never prank anyone. I hate them with a passion. I have ended friendships over them. As far as family...I was the only child in the entire family. Not even a cousin. I would have been spanked if I had pranked my parents (or any other adult in the family). There were never any prank wars for me to get tips for.

- Did you make any New Year's resolutions? If so, what were they? Have you stuck to them?

My New Year's resolution was sort of an ongoing task for me. I want to be more true to myself. This will involve a lot of inner strength and a breaking of patterns that I have lived in for a long time. Part of it is not letting myself be a doormat for anyone, including my family. This is going to be a very difficult one since I am a mom-confrontational person to the point of being considered meek by some. As far as sticking to it, check with me in a year, lol.

- If the Resolution Rescuer were to steal something from you to make sure you stick to your New Year's resolutions, what would it be and why would it ensure you keep those resolutions?

If something was to be stolen from me, it would have to be an intangible item. Like a familial sense of guilt and obligation. It is something which has been driven into my personality for my whole life. If it was removed I would have no problem keeping my resolution. As it is, I have to subjugate this part of me myself and that is going to take a lot of self will and determination.

- One of the most common New Year's resolutions is improving one's diet. Do you have a fun recipe for a healthy snack that you would like to share?

A healthy snack? Isn’t the point of snacks to be unhealthy? All kidding aside, I am a firm believer that vegetable sticks are the best snack. If that seems too plain, one could jazz it up with some peanut butter, but sparingly. And avoid low-fat varieties, they tend to be unhealthy. A nice organic almond or cashew butter is nice, or tahini.

- Conversely, some of the more mischievous among us may wish to cut down on the number of pranks to which they subject their loved ones! Do you have any fun tips for avoiding a family prank war?

Alas, my family is not a prank one. We all have abysmal senses of humor. We take things too literally, and tend to hold grudges. It is hard to enjoy pulling pranks on anyone if they are going to be mad at you for six months. Plus because of recent family tragedies, we are just not in a good place to enjoy even light hearted ones. Hopefully we will be able to come out of this stronger.

I have a three New Year's resolutions the first one I made is I need to and got to find a job,

my second one is in real life I had a boyfriend but he broke up with me and he kind of broke my heart but I am going to try to find a way to get him back to being my boyfriend again and it's Valentine's Day next Friday maybe he will say he will be mine because I bought a really nice Valentine's Day card that says
something like thinking of you makes my heart happy but I can't remember the rest of what the card says but I wrote Anonymous I know we are just friends but will you be mine please from Anonymous that's what I wrote on it but I want to keep it anonymous

and my third one is I need to lose weight by eating healthier and I got to watch how much pop I have, and my family has never pranked me except for on April Fools.

I didn’t make any New Year’s resolutions this year, to be honest. I haven’t made them in a long time, really because I have trouble sticking with them after the first month. If I were to make another resolution, it would be to learn to stick with it

The Resolution Rescuer would have to steal one of my chicken nuggets from me. That’s one of the few ways I’d be motivated enough to stick with them. I’d go to the ends of the Earth to get the chicken nugget back, so if someone wants to motivate me to do something, that’s the way to go about it.

I don’t have any ideas for a healthy snack recipe, though I’d like to hear some. I’m guilty of not eating as healthy as I should for most of the year, so it’s time I try some new, healthy recipes to get me back on track

Let’s be real here, why would someone want to avoid a family prank war? To me, nothing says “I love you” more than being willing to have shenanigans at any moment Though, I suppose if one really wanted to avoid the war, they could always just threaten to steal chicken nuggets if someone pranks them. I mean, that’d be enough to get me to not do it.

- Did you make any New Year's resolutions? If so, what were they? Have you stuck to them?
I thought about this quite a bit this year and discussed it with my partner (His resolution has been the same for several years- Not be alive at the end of the year!- Setting the standards super low and achievable). I have decided to go for the more achievable this year- I have resolved be allow myself more time to relax this year. I haven't put any specifics in this year because if I did I feel that it would add more to the pressure.

- If the Resolution Rescuer were to steal something from you to make sure you stick to your New Year's resolutions, what would it be and why would it ensure you keep those resolutions?
This is really hard. If they stole my computer I wouldn't be able to work and I would be forced to relax, but at the same time they would also be stealing my primary entertainment system. I don't really have much other stuff that they could take. Maybe they would start taking away my coffee if I slip up- but only if I slip up! I couldn't live without it permanently.

- One of the most common New Year's resolutions is improving one's diet. Do you have a fun recipe for a healthy snack that you would like to share?
It's not really a recipe I like to snack on dried fruit. It works for me because it is sweet enough to satisfy me and has the ultimate nibble factor, like sweets or popcorn!

- Conversely, some of the more mischievous among us may wish to cut down on the number of pranks to which they subject their loved ones! Do you have any fun tips for avoiding a family prank war?
I mean..... Why would you want to stop this! Its so much fun to mess with people! If you did want to stop, I guess you could try replacing it with something else. This tends to work with snacking so I could see it work with other things too.

Did you make any New Year's resolutions? If so, what were they? Have you stuck to them?
Lots of resolutions for me this year, including devoting more time to my studies, and (hopefully) finally cracking a tough exam that will ultimately lead me to my dream career! So far, I've stuck by them, but let's see how the rest of the year turns out to be!

This year, I'm feeling more motivated than ever before, especially because last year didn't go well for me at all, both professionally and personally. I also had a near-death experience, which kept me confined to my bed for almost two months, completely helpless, and having to depend on my family members for the simplest of things. I took some time off my usual work schedule after that, healing both physically and mentally, and I'm ready to come back stronger this year!

If the Resolution Rescuer were to steal something from you to make sure you stick to your New Year's resolutions, what would it be and why would it ensure you keep those resolutions?
My phone. Please, just take it away! While it is an essential tool to communicate with people on-the-go, I spend wayyyy too much time on it (including HEXing!), that could otherwise have been used towards achieving my resolutions faster!

One of the most common New Year's resolutions is improving one's diet. Do you have a fun recipe for a healthy snack that you would like to share?
I don't have any recipe, but I guess one could drink lots of water and have fresh fruits as part of their daily diet. At least, these are things that I need to include more in my diet this year.

Conversely, some of the more mischievous among us may wish to cut down on the number of pranks to which they subject their loved ones! Do you have any fun tips for avoiding a family prank war?
My family doesn't do prank wars! We do play pranks on each other from time to time, especially between my siblings and cousins (and I'm not cutting down on them this year, every family needs a healthy dose of pranks!), but mostly, on a whole, small pranks never lead to prank wars, because my family is too lazy to go for revenge pranks!

- Did you make any New Year's resolutions? If so, what were they? Have you stuck to them?
My New Years Resolution this year was to be more aware of my mental health and to push for a little more self-care. I have a hard time taking time for myself. I am a mother of two young children, so their needs always come first. However, if I don't take care of my mental health as well, I cannot be a good mother for them. I always feel guilty taking time for myself because it always feels like someone else has to step up in order to do it. But, I step up all day every day, so I deserve it!

So far, so good! I have gotten a massage this month which was heavenly. I asked my husband to stay with the kids and tried not to feel guilty about it. I am also taking a day during my vacation week (I'm a teacher) to do nothing but nap, HEX, and play on my Switch. That day is today, and I'm getting a ton of contests done! Ha!

- If the Resolution Rescuer were to steal something from you to make sure you stick to your New Year's resolutions, what would it be and why would it ensure you keep those resolutions?
Love this idea! I think they would have to steal my phone. If they stole my phone, I would lose my connectivity and be forced to do what I said. I may be slightly attached to my phone. Oh, well! *shrug*

- If you did not make any New Year's resolutions, why not?

I’ve made New Year’s resolutions before but some how I never seem to stick to them for very long. I get busy with other things and forget about them. Then I make a similar resolution the next year and the same thing happens so I just quit making them. What’s the point of making them if there only going to last a few months, weeks, or even days?

- If the Resolution Rescuer were to steal something from you to make sure you stick to your New Year's resolutions, what would it be and why would it ensure you keep those resolutions?

I’m not sure what they could steal from me that would work. Maybe my cat. If they were to just take my TV or computer or something like that, I would miss it but most likely just go out and get another one so I don’t think something like that would work very well. It would have to be something that I couldn’t easily replace like a person that I cared about.

- One of the most common New Year's resolutions is improving one's diet. Do you have a fun recipe for a healthy snack that you would like to share?

I don’t really have any recipes for healthy snacks. If I want to eat something healthy for a snack, I usually just eat a piece of fruit or maybe a yogurt.

- Conversely, some of the more mischievous among us may wish to cut down on the number of pranks to which they subject their loved ones! Do you have any fun tips for avoiding a family prank war?

My family has never been one to do a lot of pranks. We might occasionally do something on April fool’s day but nothing big so I would say the best way is to just not prank anyone.

- What was you favourite article in January's edition of the Daily Prophet? Why?
Expose: the Lightwood case By Athenniene Cromwell
It was a good read and it held my attention throughout. I get distracted a lot reading long bits of text, so if i read the whole thing it is because I enjoy it.

- Did you make any New Year's resolutions? If so, what were they? Have you stuck to them?
I did not make any New Year's resolutions.

- If you did not make any New Year's resolutions, why not?
I have times i feel i have to better myself or change things in my life to be healthier or do better. But i feel if i do this at New Year's, it has far less change of succeeding as it adds more pressure to it.

- If the Resolution Rescuer were to steal something from you to make sure you stick to your New Year's resolutions, what would it be and why would it ensure you keep those resolutions?
If it would steal the good memories of a lost loved one, i do anything to get those back if they were lost/stolen.

- One of the most common New Year's resolutions is improving one's diet. Do you have a fun recipe for a healthy snack that you would like to share?
Unfortunately i am not that creative, i just stick to things i know are good for you. I do like cutting up my fruit and make it look all nice or decorate a salad with lost of nice things.

- Conversely, some of the more mischievous among us may wish to cut down on the number of pranks to which they subject their loved ones! Do you have any fun tips for avoiding a family prank war?
No, sorry i never experienced one so i would not know/ or need a way to avoid it.

- Did you make any New Year's resolutions? If so, what were they? Have you stuck to them?
I no longermake actual resolutions , I prefer to make attainable goals for myself. I gave myself a goal of walking on the treadmill at least five days a week, and so far I am sticking to that goal. I take a dvd and pop into the player and before I realize it I have finished my walk and actually enjoyed doing it.

- If you did not make any New Year's resolutions, why not?
The reason I had stopped making resolutions was if I didn't live up to my expectations I felt bad about myself.

- If the Resolution Rescuer were to steal something from you to make sure you stick to your New Year's resolutions, what would it be and why would it ensure you keep those resolutions?
It could be anything I really loved, person, personal object like my books & dvds , or especially pets. I would do anything to get them back, and walking on the treadmill is a simple task. I do look forward to spring and warm weather so that I can get back outside for my exercise.

- One of the most common New Year's resolutions is improving one's diet. Do you have a fun recipe for a healthy snack that you would like to share?
I like popcorn as a healthy snack, it's quick and can be easily flavored with just a sprinkle of a seasoning. I happen to like a little lime and sea salt. This is not a snack but it's a fun healthy dinner that my family recently made for the first time.
We just made zucchini spaghetti on Sunday for dinner. It was amazing, I had found a shredder in the bargin bin ar Kroger's a few weeks ago, not only was it fun to make but very healthy. We shredded seven zucchinis then sauteed it in a little butter, garlic, red pepper flakes, salt , and pepper for about 10 minutes. It was served on the side with meatballs in a marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.

- Conversely, some of the more mischievous among us may wish to cut down on the number of pranks to which they subject their loved ones! Do you have any fun tips for avoiding a family prank war?
I don't think my family is big on pulling pranks on each other unless it's April Fools Day. Fun way to avoiding a family prank war , as Nancy Reagan said years ago, "Just Say No".

I am not a new year's resolution kind of person, but I do set goals to myself all the time. Like, without a strict timeline, I just reevaluate my life and my goals pretty often ^^

My goals (which are pretty close to resolutions I suppose) include working on my health - which I do my making sure I do some physical activity, drink water more often than juice, eat veggies, get enough iron as I'm always low on it (meat/fish), and get a good amount of sleep.

Regarding the food question, none of my recipes are in English, but I can share the base of my go-to meals
I like making fish with gravy and a side of rice. Beef stew, which I make with beef and vegetables such as potato, carrot, onion. Chicken hearts, which might sound gross but is actually really tasty and has a lot of iron in it - hearts fried with green pepper, onion and tariyaki/oyster sauce.

Aside from my health goals I also have social goals (going out with friends more, trying new activities and events, making an effort to socialize), personal development goals (try new recipes, learn free courses online, even did a paid Photoshop course recently)..

I'm not a prankster myself, so wouldn't even consider 'less pranking' to be a goal for me. But if someone feels like they need this resolution, I think my advice for them would be to try and sympathize with a person before they prank him - put themselves in the other person's shoes. Sure, watching a person slip on a banana might be entertaining to watch, but if you put yourself in that person's shoes, do you think you'd find it entertaining then? How would you feel?
I think that using this strategy, any person would be less likely to perform pranks ^^

I tend to make goals for myself instead of resolutions. I just find it easier as that way my mind can organise it to be a non-limited aim. My aim was to stop HEXing as much and I am doing well with that. I am quite proud of myself. I needed to do it for my mental health, and it is making me feel better.

I’m not too sure what the Resolution Rescuer would have to steal from me to ensure I stuck to my goal. It couldn’t be my phone as I need that to communicate. I guess if they stole my iPad it wouldn’t be too bad and would help me with my aim. I tend to use HEX mainly on my iPad at the minute so it would be great to ‘lose’ it and not remember where I put it.

I don’t have any fun recipes for healthy snacks. I don’t tend to bake or make anything. But I would like to try to get a cookbook specifically for healthy snacks.

My biggest tip to avoid a prank war if you don’t want one is to just not prank anyone in the first place. If you don’t prank anyone they won’t retaliate.

- What was you favorite article in January's edition of the Daily Prophet? Why?

As usual I love Wizarding Crimes. I think the idea of a Resolution Rescuer is an amazing idea, and is less of a criminal and more of a masked hero. They're really helping people in many ways, especially with their health according to the article. The best one in my opinion was the man who was trying to quit smoking. Of course, the man could always go and buy more packs, but the deed of the Resolution Rescuer in itself was amazing, and now it's up to the man to continue his journey, he just had a little help from the 'criminal'.

- Did you make any New Year's resolutions? If so, what were they? Have you stuck to them?

I did. My main goal was to eat healthy, exercise, and try to hit my weight goal by the end of the year. Another goal was to stay in touch with my friends more and talk to them more. And then there was read more books, try to be more social in RL, and then work on my GED.

As for sticking to them, well, lol. I am indeed eating more healthy, and I'm losing weight. ^^ As for exercising I'm doing my best. /: Still working towards getting a gym membership, and I'm saving up to get a bike. As for staying in touch with my friends, I'm trying. D: I'm sorry guys if I still don't talk enough and say hi enough. D: I love you!

Book-wise. Gah, I wish I was high-school me again. Ever since I got addicted to the internet books have become basically non-existent with me and I hate myself for it. I at least need to read more fanfiction. :3 Read something. And as for being social in RL - ha, no. I don't even go to social places, sooo. And working on my GED - gotta find an online school first! I'm gonna do it though!

- If the Resolution Rescuer were to steal something from you to make sure you stick to your New Year's resolutions, what would it be and why would it ensure you keep those resolutions?

Hmm. Well if they stole all my electronics then it would definitely force me to read more books! I really wish I could go back in time before I was addicted to electronics. I didn't have a phone or laptop, just the television, and even then I just watched recreationally.

Books were my life. Books were my introduction to Harry Potter, and Harry Potter was my introduction to reading. And I was always reading. It came to a point where I was literally afraid of being caught reading, or felt guilty for reading, because I was doing it when I shouldn't have been. During class, when I was supposed to be doing homework, etc etc, lmao. I loved to read.

So it's really sad that I don't read physical or original books anymore. Sure, I can read a novel length fanfic sometimes, but it's not the same.

So yeah, reading books is something I really need to do and change.

- Conversely, some of the more mischievous among us may wish to cut down on the number of pranks to which they subject their loved ones! Do you have any fun tips for avoiding a family prank war?

Ha, well first of all my mom hates pranks. I do too, kind of. Well, being on the end of one (who doesn't) but as for playing one... I've always tried to, but my sisters are sore losers and throw a huge fit, even though they do the same thing.

Either way, usually even "attempting" to prank someone (and I say attempting because the pranks are rather obvious, like putting something in a drink, and we all know not to drink anything unless it's sealed, lol) is reserved for April Fool's. But because of how pissed everyone gets if they do get pranked, it ruins the fun, so we basically just don't prank in the first place.

I did actually make resolutions this year, for the first time in quite a while. I didn't technically make or start them until the 10th January, but I'm figuring that's close enough to count! After all actually starting can be the hardest part, so I'm not going to kick myself for getting that bit out of the way! So, my resolutions were to improve my health, both mentally and physically. I've been doing this through two main avenues: 1) yoga and 2) studying. Since 10th January, every day I have done 10-30 minutes of yoga and about 20 minutes+ of studying. Doing both of these every day has helped me in a number of ways. My flexibility has increased, my stamina has increased and so has my concentration! I am honestly so happy with the results so far, though secretly I wish the yoga would have helped me lose some weight too. I have recently started to cut down on drinking soda too, so hopefully that might help.
If the Resolution Rescuer were to steal something from me to make sure I stuck to my resolutions, it would probably be my Pocket Bat. Not having my Pocket Bat makes me really sad and anxious and I really struggle to sleep or feel happy without it. If they took it away and said I had to do my resolutions to get it back each day, I would definitely complete them quickly! The fortunate thing is though, that I have somehow managed to do them without such a motivator, and I'm honestly really proud of that. Usually, I would seek some sort of reward, such as the return of a loved possession or a present, in order to achieve my goals, so the fact that I have been able to consistently tackle them every day has given me a lot of hope that I can keep it up for the future!

Did you make any New Year's resolutions? If so, what were they? Have you stuck to them?
I did make New Years Resolutions. Mine were to work harder towards my goals career-wise this year. I think I’ve mostly stuck towards them but I do think I could have worked a bit harder some days. It’s hard to always put so much effort in but I think I’ve done pretty well these last two months.

If the Resolution Rescuer were to steal something from you to make sure you stick to your New Year's resolutions, what would it be and why would it ensure you keep those resolutions?
I think the resolution rescuer would steal my iPad and computer for sure as well as my TV. It would take those things because they distract me from work the most. If I spent less time looking through social media or watching a show, I’d get more work done and get closer to my goals.

One of the most common New Year's resolutions is improving one's diet. Do you have a fun recipe for a healthy snack that you would like to share?
I do not have a recipe for a healthy snack. I probably should have improving my diet as a resolution but I’ve never done that one. I guess I’d say something cliche like make ants on a log with raisins and peanut butter on a celery stick. Something cute but still healthy.

Conversely, some of the more mischievous among us may wish to cut down on the number of pranks to which they subject their loved ones! Do you have any fun tips for avoiding a family prank war?
My family doesn’t really do prank wars except maybe slightly on April Fools day. To avoid a prank war, I guess you should try to be overly nice to everyone so they will feel guilty about pranking you and maybe will choose to not involve you if there is a prank war.

- What was you favourite article in January's edition of the Daily Prophet? Why? I really loved the "review" of the sexist Wizarding book that was published about how to make Wizards Fall At Your Feet. In this day and age, you would think that these sorts of chauvanistic books and opinions would be a thing of the past, but with the #MeToo movement, they're actually more prevalent than ever. Women are starting to speak out about the everyday sexism and abuse that they experience, so stories like these are not uncommon. Not only are women judged on things like their weight, appearance, what job they do, what their interests are by certain men, but other women are just as bad or even worse for criticising each other. We all need to build each other up, not tear each other down, and as we're talking about resolutions, I wish that more women made it their resolution every year to be kinder to each other and to try not to judge others based on their life choices

- Did you make any New Year's resolutions? If so, what were they? Have you stuck to them? No, I didn't make any, other than the usual, try to lose weight before I get my bikinis out for holidays resolution. Though since the death of Caroline Flack, I have tried to make it my yearly resolution to be kinder to people. I mean I've never been much of a gossip, and I've always tried to think of others feelings as though they were my own, and I don't often post anything on social media, but from now on I'm trying to be a kinder person all round.

- If you did not make any New Year's resolutions, why not? I don't generally tend to keep to them. I have a terrible memory so often foget that I've made resolutions or don't stick to them. Junk food is my weakness, and I definitely can't give it up indefinitely.

- If the Resolution Rescuer were to steal something from you to make sure you stick to your New Year's resolutions, what would it be and why would it ensure you keep those resolutions? Chocolate for sure...and probably white bread and bread rolls. Carbs are my downfall - I've been very good at cutting out pasta, have only been having pizza and a small amount of fries once a week and don't eat other types of potatoes often, but bread - bread is my downfall. I've managed to switch from white to 50/50 as white was giving me stomach aches, but baguettes, bread rolls and my favourite supermarket plaited rolls are just too damn good to give up. Chocate too. Chocolate is so hard to give up. I have done it in the past - but only for a month. I may try to do it again for March - the British Heart Foundation runs a sponsored 'go chocolate free in March' campaign, so I'll give it a try again.

- One of the most common New Year's resolutions is improving one's diet. Do you have a fun recipe for a healthy snack that you would like to share? No...I don't really cook, and the only healthy snacks I eat are fruit. Maybe someone else can give me some healthy snscks that are tasty too - because most healthy snacks aren't.

- Conversely, some of the more mischievous among us may wish to cut down on the number of pranks to which they subject their loved ones! Do you have any fun tips for avoiding a family prank war? I don't prank. Never have. I don't feel like it's very kind to prank people, even if they are family.
