I really enjoyed the article “Investing in Inspiration”. It was a very pleasant read and I liked the idea of a scholarship fund for Hogwarts students. It’s probably very expensive to send your child to Hogwarts even with the Ministry paying for their tuition and having to stay at school for the holidays. It’s nice that people want to help. This is the story that most inspired me because my mother insisted that all of my siblings and I go to Catholic schools for some reason, and it must have been extremely expensive, especially with my father refusing to pay. It would have been nice to have had a scholarship fund from someone nice so that my mom didn’t have to pay it all. I mean, I got some merit scholarships, but it was still really expensive. I was and am often inspired by books, especially those written by young authors because I have been writing since I was three and love all kinds of books and wanted to publish something. Maybe I will one day. I think inspiration absolutely can lead to creativity because it’s easy to focus on and be imaginative with, something that interests you. Books and stories inspire me, especially British Literature.

- What was your favorite article from this issue and why?

From the Kitchen. it is one of my o to sections always. I love to see if the recipes appeal to me and if they do I add them to my collection!! I tend to gravitate towards candy and cookie recipes, so this one about fudge was right up my alley. Incidentally I recently read one where you mix peanut butter and vanilla frosting together, then let it set and it makes fudge. Not so much! It made a very sugary, ickily gross confection. One bite and I threw it away, what a waste

- Whose story from the wizarding world most inspired you and why?

Professor McGonagall's story. She is so strong and has persevered through so much. Even when she was younger. Reading her back story was fascinating. I think she has been unappreciated by a lot of people, because of circumstances. I wish That Rowling would write a spin off book about Minerva, it would be such a great read.

- Tell us about a time when you were inspired.

I was attending an art class with one of my special needs students. I was inspired by his enthusiasm to pick up a paintbrush, mix my own colors and try my hand at an abstract subject. I am not very good, but it was very relaxing and freeing in a way. I am so glad that I tried it and I never would have if that student had not given me the inspiration to.

- Do you think that inspiration leads to creativity?

As I wrote above, I think it really does. One needs an inspiration to create. I think they go hand in hand. People always talk about "muses" and I think they come on many different forms, always different for each, individual person.

- What are some things that inspire you?

Let's see, other people always inspire me. Music inspires me. Reading inspires me. Nature inspires me. Even boredom inspires me. But not all the time, lol, it is usually a spontaneous burst of inspiration and there is no predicting it or instigating it. It just happens . . .like magic!

- What was your favorite article from this issue and why?
I loved the economy article. These pieces are usually pretty sharky and I was really touched by the sweet and inspirational tone of this month’s article.

- Whose story from the wizarding world most inspired you and why?
Luna Lovegood. Luna is the epitome of every lonely child, and that struck a chord with me more than most. Hers was the story that showed us that it’s okay to be different, that even if nobody understands you or your passions that you don’t have to give up and conform. That was such an important message for a little weirdo like me.

- Tell us about a time when you were inspired.
After my wedding I was inspired to create a scrapbook of memories. The wedding was mostly handmade, and if I do say so myself it was utterly beautiful and incredibly fairytale and whimsical, exactly what I wanted. I wanted to remember the magic of that day and the days around it forever, so I chose all my favourite photos and collected little knick-knacks and things like a piece of fabric from my dress and flowers from my bouquet. Then I spent several weeks planning the layout and sticking everything in and decorating it.

- Do you think that inspiration leads to creativity?
Absolutely. Without inspiration there is no creativity. There can be creation without inspiration, but it won’t be something with life and meaning unless it was inspired.

- What are some things that inspire you?
My family (my wife and my baby) – they make me want to be the best version of myself. Positive change – I’m inspired to do my bit to make the world a better place. Strong women – if they can do it, I can too, and owe it to them to try.

The love story from Remus and Tonks most inspired me. My inspiration stems from believing I can do things.

A discussion about inspiration! How very inspiring ^__^

I often write for contests and activities here on HEX, but the truth is I seek inspiration all the time for the stories I keep in my own imagination. Day dreams if you will, little worlds I enjoy going to when I feel down or just want to "watch" a good story without having to go anywhere or do anything. I find inspiration for these little worlds through the things I watch in TV shows and movies, the books I read, and even sometimes real life experiences.

When it comes to the HP universe, of course I took a lot of inspiration from there through the years. I think the story that inspired me the most might have been Lily and james's story, since we didn't get to see most of it and I was able to fill up the gaps using my imagination. More than that, the existance of those gaps in the first place is what I think drew my inspiration to it, because I needed to have the full story, or at least my own version of it.

Another recent inspiration I found was in a movie I watched "The Darkest Minds". It introduced a world that's very different from our own, and opened up the possibility of having certain powers, and how each person reacts to the powers he's given, as well as where exactly that person ends up being (the powers emerge when you are a kid, so there are only a few possible outcomes to what could happen to you and where you might end up after getting your powers). In truth it just gave me a lot to think about and imagine, and inspired me to think about what I would do in that kind of reality, that kind of world.

I definitely think that inspiration leads to creativity. I know that there are some opinions which dictate that we must be original, think about stuff by ourselves and not let other people affect our creations. But I believe in the opposite approach, which states that everything in life, everything we see or hear, everything in RL and in the media, it all affects us whether we're aware of it or not. And I think that drawing inspiration from someone else's work, even when you know you're doing it, is completely fine because in the end you still create something that is your own. Or your own take on someone else's creation. I think it's a circle of creativity, each inspiring one another, and that's a good thing.

- What was your favorite article from this issue and why?

My favorite article was the From the Kitchen. I always like to check out the recipes to see if they might be something I would like. The one from this one definitely sounded good. How could it not be good it? It involves chocolate which I love therefore it must be something I would l like.

- Whose story from the wizarding world most inspired you and why?

I think Harry’s story is the one I find the most inspiring. He grew up not only without parents but with a family that didn’t like him. They even took every opportunity they could to tell him how worthless he was and how terrible his parents were. He still managed to care about other people though. His time at Hogwarts was better than living with the Dursley’s but even then, the fact that Voldemort was still out there made his life difficult at times.

- Tell us about a time when you were inspired.

I can’t really think of any particular time but it does help if I find something interesting and this frequently does happen when I’m ready a book that I really like.

- Do you think that inspiration leads to creativity?

Yes, I think it does. Being interested in something or motivated does help with creativity. If you’re not interested in something and don’t care about it there’s no reason to be creative.

- What are some things that inspire you?

Sometimes reading something will inspire me or it could be another person. I have been inspired by something new that I learned to go out and learn more. It’s just something that happens. Something sparks my interests and I want to learn more or be more like someone. It’s just something that happens. You don’t plan it and you don’t know when it will happen it just does.

Aunt Edna's. A chord struct with me reading it on how people idolize sports players. I think there are more worthy people(for the most part) to look up to. Doctors and Nurses who save lives just to mention two.

- Whose story from the wizarding world most inspired you and why?
I think the Weasleys. It shows you can have a happy family and great friends even when you don't have much money. Relationships are much more important than any item you could buy.

- Tell us about a time when you were inspired.
Watching people on missions get out and help those with nothing. Feeding them. clean water, medical care and decent housing are all a must and I saw all those things done in a small village.

- Do you think that inspiration leads to creativity?
Yes. It it leads to new inventions and new ways of doing things.

- What are some things that inspire you?
How the Amish band together and help one another in times of need. Specifically things like barn raising, Taking care of their older parents, caring for neighbors who have lost a loved one by bring food and doing chores. It makes me want to get out and help more.

Do I need to say only one article I liked? I hope not as I have two articles, which were my favorite. The first one was about missing muses. The reason is that when I get creative, there's muse next to me and helps me with the thing what I do. For example writing or giving me the idea what to draw and how to color it. And sometimes the muse is not near me and I can't get any idea what to write. So the article was with it awesome.
And for the second one was Rating and reviews. When I read it I almost imagined the taste of the muffins. I'm sure I would taste all the muffins and spend the time in the cafe eating muffins and reading books or talking with friends. Also I'm really into Japanese things, so that was really big plus, that in the article was muffin with Japanese-themed flavour.
I think the most inspiring story was about Ron Weasly. I like how he's loyal to his friends and tries to help hem even though he's not as clever as Hermione or the Chosen One Harry. But still he tries to help them and protect them. There should be more people as him.
It was last autumn when I was inspired. I was watching videos of bullet journals and knew that I can't do them, because what would I write to them? I don't have much things to do as I'm spending time in collage. And then I got an idea. I was inspired with them to make my own journal which would be about books. Like when I had read it, pages, name of the book. And to this day I still write to the journal new and new books.
Of course inspiration leads to creativity. As I stated in previous paragraph the inspiration led me to creativity. So I think on one point inspiration and creativity links together.
I mostly get inspiration from videos or even pictures to make that thing, which looked absolutely amazing. Also some people inspire me, the ones who tries to help others. It inspires me to be like them.

- What was your favorite article from this issue and why?
I liked From the Kitchen, because I'm hungry and it was about food. Sue me.

- Whose story from the wizarding world most inspired you and why?
I can see how many of their stories could be seen as inspiring, but to be completely honest, none of them actually inspired me. They were fun to read and to analyze on so many levels, but in terms of actual inspiration, that's not where I drew their value from.

- Tell us about a time when you were inspired.
I read a lot of science journals, and they always give me lots of ideas for things I want to do, whether for science fairs, personal projects, or longer term goals.

- Do you think that inspiration leads to creativity?
I think inspiration definitely aids creativity: it provides you with more ideas and more motivation by far. But I don't think it's absolutely necessary, it just makes it a lot easier and gives you more ammunition.

- What are some things that inspire you?
I guess this is the general case of the third question, but I answered the third question in the general case, so I'm going to let that answer stand.
