I really enjoyed the article “Investing in Inspiration”. It was a very pleasant read and I liked the idea of a scholarship fund for Hogwarts students. It’s probably very expensive to send your child to Hogwarts even with the Ministry paying for their tuition and having to stay at school for the holidays. It’s nice that people want to help. This is the story that most inspired me because my mother insisted that all of my siblings and I go to Catholic schools for some reason, and it must have been extremely expensive, especially with my father refusing to pay. It would have been nice to have had a scholarship fund from someone nice so that my mom didn’t have to pay it all. I mean, I got some merit scholarships, but it was still really expensive. I was and am often inspired by books, especially those written by young authors because I have been writing since I was three and love all kinds of books and wanted to publish something. Maybe I will one day. I think inspiration absolutely can lead to creativity because it’s easy to focus on and be imaginative with, something that interests you. Books and stories inspire me, especially British Literature.

- What was your favorite article from this issue and why?

From the Kitchen. it is one of my o to sections always. I love to see if the recipes appeal to me and if they do I add them to my collection!! I tend to gravitate towards candy and cookie recipes, so this one about fudge was right up my alley. Incidentally I recently read one where you mix peanut butter and vanilla frosting together, then let it set and it makes fudge. Not so much! It made a very sugary, ickily gross confection. One bite and I threw it away, what a waste

- Whose story from the wizarding world most inspired you and why?

Professor McGonagall's story. She is so strong and has persevered through so much. Even when she was younger. Reading her back story was fascinating. I think she has been unappreciated by a lot of people, because of circumstances. I wish That Rowling would write a spin off book about Minerva, it would be such a great read.

- Tell us about a time when you were inspired.

I was attending an art class with one of my special needs students. I was inspired by his enthusiasm to pick up a paintbrush, mix my own colors and try my hand at an abstract subject. I am not very good, but it was very relaxing and freeing in a way. I am so glad that I tried it and I never would have if that student had not given me the inspiration to.

- Do you think that inspiration leads to creativity?

As I wrote above, I think it really does. One needs an inspiration to create. I think they go hand in hand. People always talk about "muses" and I think they come on many different forms, always different for each, individual person.

- What are some things that inspire you?

Let's see, other people always inspire me. Music inspires me. Reading inspires me. Nature inspires me. Even boredom inspires me. But not all the time, lol, it is usually a spontaneous burst of inspiration and there is no predicting it or instigating it. It just happens . . .like magic!

- What was your favorite article from this issue and why?
I loved the economy article. These pieces are usually pretty sharky and I was really touched by the sweet and inspirational tone of this month’s article.

- Whose story from the wizarding world most inspired you and why?
Luna Lovegood. Luna is the epitome of every lonely child, and that struck a chord with me more than most. Hers was the story that showed us that it’s okay to be different, that even if nobody understands you or your passions that you don’t have to give up and conform. That was such an important message for a little weirdo like me.

- Tell us about a time when you were inspired.
After my wedding I was inspired to create a scrapbook of memories. The wedding was mostly handmade, and if I do say so myself it was utterly beautiful and incredibly fairytale and whimsical, exactly what I wanted. I wanted to remember the magic of that day and the days around it forever, so I chose all my favourite photos and collected little knick-knacks and things like a piece of fabric from my dress and flowers from my bouquet. Then I spent several weeks planning the layout and sticking everything in and decorating it.

- Do you think that inspiration leads to creativity?
Absolutely. Without inspiration there is no creativity. There can be creation without inspiration, but it won’t be something with life and meaning unless it was inspired.

- What are some things that inspire you?
My family (my wife and my baby) – they make me want to be the best version of myself. Positive change – I’m inspired to do my bit to make the world a better place. Strong women – if they can do it, I can too, and owe it to them to try.

A discussion about inspiration! How very inspiring ^__^

I often write for contests and activities here on HEX, but the truth is I seek inspiration all the time for the stories I keep in my own imagination. Day dreams if you will, little worlds I enjoy going to when I feel down or just want to "watch" a good story without having to go anywhere or do anything. I find inspiration for these little worlds through the things I watch in TV shows and movies, the books I read, and even sometimes real life experiences.

When it comes to the HP universe, of course I took a lot of inspiration from there through the years. I think the story that inspired me the most might have been Lily and james's story, since we didn't get to see most of it and I was able to fill up the gaps using my imagination. More than that, the existance of those gaps in the first place is what I think drew my inspiration to it, because I needed to have the full story, or at least my own version of it.

Another recent inspiration I found was in a movie I watched "The Darkest Minds". It introduced a world that's very different from our own, and opened up the possibility of having certain powers, and how each person reacts to the powers he's given, as well as where exactly that person ends up being (the powers emerge when you are a kid, so there are only a few possible outcomes to what could happen to you and where you might end up after getting your powers). In truth it just gave me a lot to think about and imagine, and inspired me to think about what I would do in that kind of reality, that kind of world.

I definitely think that inspiration leads to creativity. I know that there are some opinions which dictate that we must be original, think about stuff by ourselves and not let other people affect our creations. But I believe in the opposite approach, which states that everything in life, everything we see or hear, everything in RL and in the media, it all affects us whether we're aware of it or not. And I think that drawing inspiration from someone else's work, even when you know you're doing it, is completely fine because in the end you still create something that is your own. Or your own take on someone else's creation. I think it's a circle of creativity, each inspiring one another, and that's a good thing.

- What was your favorite article from this issue and why?

My favorite article was the From the Kitchen. I always like to check out the recipes to see if they might be something I would like. The one from this one definitely sounded good. How could it not be good it? It involves chocolate which I love therefore it must be something I would l like.

- Whose story from the wizarding world most inspired you and why?

I think Harry’s story is the one I find the most inspiring. He grew up not only without parents but with a family that didn’t like him. They even took every opportunity they could to tell him how worthless he was and how terrible his parents were. He still managed to care about other people though. His time at Hogwarts was better than living with the Dursley’s but even then, the fact that Voldemort was still out there made his life difficult at times.

- Tell us about a time when you were inspired.

I can’t really think of any particular time but it does help if I find something interesting and this frequently does happen when I’m ready a book that I really like.

- Do you think that inspiration leads to creativity?

Yes, I think it does. Being interested in something or motivated does help with creativity. If you’re not interested in something and don’t care about it there’s no reason to be creative.

- What are some things that inspire you?

Sometimes reading something will inspire me or it could be another person. I have been inspired by something new that I learned to go out and learn more. It’s just something that happens. Something sparks my interests and I want to learn more or be more like someone. It’s just something that happens. You don’t plan it and you don’t know when it will happen it just does.

- What was your favorite article from this issue and why?
Aunt Edna's. A chord struct with me reading it on how people idolize sports players. I think there are more worthy people(for the most part) to look up to. Doctors and Nurses who save lives just to mention two.

- Whose story from the wizarding world most inspired you and why?
I think the Weasleys. It shows you can have a happy family and great friends even when you don't have much money. Relationships are much more important than any item you could buy.

- Tell us about a time when you were inspired.
Watching people on missions get out and help those with nothing. Feeding them. clean water, medical care and decent housing are all a must and I saw all those things done in a small village.

- Do you think that inspiration leads to creativity?
Yes. It it leads to new inventions and new ways of doing things.

- What are some things that inspire you?
How the Amish band together and help one another in times of need. Specifically things like barn raising, Taking care of their older parents, caring for neighbors who have lost a loved one by bring food and doing chores. It makes me want to get out and help more.

Do I need to say only one article I liked? I hope not as I have two articles, which were my favorite. The first one was about missing muses. The reason is that when I get creative, there's muse next to me and helps me with the thing what I do. For example writing or giving me the idea what to draw and how to color it. And sometimes the muse is not near me and I can't get any idea what to write. So the article was with it awesome.
And for the second one was Rating and reviews. When I read it I almost imagined the taste of the muffins. I'm sure I would taste all the muffins and spend the time in the cafe eating muffins and reading books or talking with friends. Also I'm really into Japanese things, so that was really big plus, that in the article was muffin with Japanese-themed flavour.
I think the most inspiring story was about Ron Weasly. I like how he's loyal to his friends and tries to help hem even though he's not as clever as Hermione or the Chosen One Harry. But still he tries to help them and protect them. There should be more people as him.
It was last autumn when I was inspired. I was watching videos of bullet journals and knew that I can't do them, because what would I write to them? I don't have much things to do as I'm spending time in collage. And then I got an idea. I was inspired with them to make my own journal which would be about books. Like when I had read it, pages, name of the book. And to this day I still write to the journal new and new books.
Of course inspiration leads to creativity. As I stated in previous paragraph the inspiration led me to creativity. So I think on one point inspiration and creativity links together.
I mostly get inspiration from videos or even pictures to make that thing, which looked absolutely amazing. Also some people inspire me, the ones who tries to help others. It inspires me to be like them.

- What was your favorite article from this issue and why?
I liked From the Kitchen, because I'm hungry and it was about food. Sue me.

- Whose story from the wizarding world most inspired you and why?
I can see how many of their stories could be seen as inspiring, but to be completely honest, none of them actually inspired me. They were fun to read and to analyze on so many levels, but in terms of actual inspiration, that's not where I drew their value from.

- Tell us about a time when you were inspired.
I read a lot of science journals, and they always give me lots of ideas for things I want to do, whether for science fairs, personal projects, or longer term goals.

- Do you think that inspiration leads to creativity?
I think inspiration definitely aids creativity: it provides you with more ideas and more motivation by far. But I don't think it's absolutely necessary, it just makes it a lot easier and gives you more ammunition.

- What are some things that inspire you?
I guess this is the general case of the third question, but I answered the third question in the general case, so I'm going to let that answer stand.

- What was your favorite article from this issue and why?
My favorite article was definitely "Investing in Inspiration." As a college student the idea of scholarships is always appealing lol. But honestly it would be a really cool thing to exist in the wizarding world.

- Whose story from the wizarding world most inspired you and why?
McGonagall's story has always filled me with inspiration. She is the woman I would have wanted as a mother figure, stern but gentle, strong and flexible.

- Tell us about a time when you were inspired.
When my brother had his baby, I was inspired by popular culture to collect as many memories as I could, and I presented him with a scrapbook on the baby's first birthday.

- Do you think that inspiration leads to creativity?
I do not think inspiration is necessary for creativity. You can be creative in very structured and planned ways. However inspiration can always help with creating something new. I also think it's likely that some inspiration never goes anywhere

- What are some things that inspire you?
I am often inspired by the work of others around me. When I go to school, I am surrounded by artists and other talented people.

- What was your favorite article from this issue and why? My favorite article was Wizarding Science. I liked how it was about someone who created a potion to help with writers block. As someone who loves to write, I find this to be a very worthwhile potion to try and make! I would definitely use a potion like this if it worked!

- Whose story from the wizarding world most inspired you and why? I think Ron Weasley’s story most inspired me. He doesn’t have much in terms of money but he has a big, loving family and he shows that it’s more important to have people who care about you then money and materialistic things. He is also a really great friend and tries to always be there for Harry and Hermione.

- Tell us about a time when you were inspired. I love to write and there have been countless times that I have felt inspired to start writing a new story.

- Do you think that inspiration leads to creativity? I definitely think that inspiration leads to creativity. When I am inspired it usually leads me to writing something new. I would think a lot of creative works, like art, film, writing, are a result of inspiration.

- What are some things that inspire you? I love reading and I always feel inspired after I read a good book. I also feel inspired when I watch a good movie as well. I find nature to be inspiring also and sometimes just talking to someone about something meaningful can be inspiring. All different sorts of things can make you feel inspired

The Wizarding Science article was great! I wish a potion really did exist to help cure muse struggles. 😂

What I've found in my own life is that inspiration does not matter half as much as dedication. I try to set aside time for the creative hobbies that I enjoy because I know that no matter how inspired I feel, I won't be able to accomplish much if I don't give myself the space to do them. Sometimes, it does mean a trade-off of not being able to work during my most inspired times... but I keep a notepad anyway to jot down things that pop into my mind!

On that note, the things that usually inspire me are other pieces of creative work. I'm very inspired by shows and movies, as well as books and music, and I'll often base stories around some element that I liked from someone else's work. (That's how I got into fanfiction, after all!) Also, I find a lot of inspiration in taking unexpected opportunities! For example, I was invited to try glassblowing, which I've never considered doing before, and I got to make some really cool art with that.

- What was your favorite article from this issue and why?
As with previous issues my favorite article is From the Kitchen. I do like to cook, bake actually, and love trying new recipes. This months sounds really tasty and easy to make, I am making myself a note not to forget jotting it down,

- Whose story from the wizarding world most inspired you and why?
While I was touched by all of the stories, Luna Lovegood has always inspired me. She grew up an only child, saw her mother basically blow herself up with a bad spell, had a loving but somewhat different father and yet Luna realized at a young age that it was okay to be different, to follow your own beliefs . While she was looked down on and called "Looney Luna", Luna proved to those that took the time to get to know her she could , and was, a very loyal trusting friend.

- Tell us about a time when you were inspired.
I have been inspired most of my life to record important moments in not only my life but in my childrens lives too. I have hours & hours of of recorded memories , photo albums , & scrapbooks.

- Do you think that inspiration leads to creativity?
It certainly does, at least it has for me. I believe you have to be inspired in order to show your creativity off to its best advantage.

- What are some things that inspire you?
My family, my pets, my home, the great outdoors, watching Mother Nature change our surroundings in a matter of moments before my eyes. A beautiful sunrise or sunset always moves me. I have been inspired by books , tv , music, or watching a movie , spontaneously feeling a wow moment.

What was your favorite article from this issue and why?
My favorite article was the ratings and reviews article. The muffin cafe sounded amazing and I liked reading about what the flavors of each one was. I would love to visit a cafe like that and see what they came up with for each country. I love cute things like that and I’m sure I would go many times and spend a long time looking at each one and trying to try every one over time.

Whose story from the wizarding world most inspired you and why?
Remus Lupin’s story inspired me the most. I think it’s very inspiring how he doesn’t let being a werewolf and having to go through the struggles of that hold him back from doing what he wants to and from contributing to society. It’s also inspiring how he still is so caring and compassionate to everyone even though many people in society don’t treat him as well and think he’s a monster because of being a werewolf.

Tell us about a time when you were inspired.
I have been inspired many times. I have been inspired in my art classes by seeing other students works and then being inspired to try similar styles. I also have been inspired in other ways such as seeing people give back to others and wanting to give back myself.

Do you think that inspiration leads to creativity?
Yes, I do think inspiration leads to creativity. I think when people are inspired, they want to make something, to add something to the world and so they are creative in finding something they enjoy that they can do that will positively affect the world.

What are some things that inspire you?
I think nature inspires me a lot. When I take walks, which I do quite often, I am inspired by the sky and the changing colors of the sunset. I also like seeing trees, flowers, leaves changing color, etc. Anything in nature is usually inspiring to look at. I also am inspired by other people’s artwork or creativity in any way. I like art and seeing what other people create, whether it’s drawing, writing, film, etc, inspires me to see what others are able to make out of nothing.

-What was your favorite article from this issue and why?
EXPOSE: MINISTRY MYSTERIES: MISSING MUSES - honestly, I'm a bit biased, one of my favorite Hex people wrote it, and I always enjoy reading her stuff
- Whose story from the wizarding world most inspired you and why?
I'd have to say Luna's. She was at home in her uniqueness. No matter how many people teased her, she never faltered from being who she was. I think a lot of people should be more like her, honestly. You're only truly happy when you're comfortable with who you are.
- Tell us about a time when you were inspired.
I find inspiration almost daily, honestly. I pull inspiration from the people I see and meet, when it comes to character ideas and I pull inspiration from nature for art (I'm a big fan of ocean themed items and live in Florida lol)
- Do you think that inspiration leads to creativity?
Most definitely. I think being a creative person also leads to finding inspiration in places most people wouldn't.
- What are some things that inspire you?
The colors the sky turns as the sun is rising or setting, interesting people on the street, books, movies, art, music...the list keeps going

I have many sources of inspiration. One is from books that I have read over the years, especially the wide variety of characters and plot devices that I discovered in them. Dreams are also a source of inspiration because the wackiest things can occur in dreams - surrealistic, upside-down, unexpected events and feelings and relationships. Music can be inspiring because it taps into the soul in a nonverbal way and will create pictures in my mind of moods and places and people. I am inspired by sights, smells, tastes that I encounter in my everyday life and travels overseas, and of course also the variety of people that I meet whether they are in real life, movies, books, TV news or even just listening to them speak on the radio. Disembodied voices on the radio inspire me to imagine what that person might look like, and how they live their lives in the far and distant places from which they are broadcasting.

I find that the greatest inspiration comes from the most unexpected sources. My mind and memory tend to jumble everything up like they are in a huge melting pot and I am inspired to create stories that blend a variety of people, places, times, stories, memories. They end up being hybrid people and places, a mix of past and present, real and imagined, ranging from good to bad, joyful to earful and humorous to deadly serious.

Whose story from the wizarding world most inspired you and why?
I'm not sure if 'inspired' is the right word to describe Luna's story. But I'm drawn to her story and character the most. She experienced a lot of hardships but still was able to see the positive things in life and help others no matter how bad she was feeling herself.

Tell us about a time when you were inspired.
I have a few websites as inspiration sources. One time I found an image of a drawing in an interesting drawing style. That inspired me to try it out myself. And based on that I developed one of my own new drawing styles.

Do you think that inspiration leads to creativity?
Most definitely. Though you don't need to be inspired to be creative. But inspiration helps you to get motivated, explore new things or try out something new. So if you find something that inspires you it gets your mind working and you try to come up with different ideas to execute what you have in mind. That process is the creativity that comes from inspiration in my opinion.

What are some things that inspire you?
I find inspiration in a lot of things. Seeing interesting architecture, a flower with a beautiful color and shape, music, relationships, discussions, nature... I could go on and on. I have an open eye to the world around me and a lot of interests. That I am a creative person helps to find inspiration in a lot of things surrounding me as well.

My favourite article was actually the Ratings and Reviews article! I really enjoyed the descriptions of the different muffins - I actually wanted to try some myself... Well, maybe not the kimchi one, but the matcha and red bean one would be intriguing. I used to hate red bean paste, but I am slowly growing used to it, after long-term exposure to all things Japanese.
It is hard to think about a time when I was inspired. I frequently have flashbulb moments of inspiration, which generally disappear the second I try to write them down or do anything about them. However recently I was inspired by Marie Kondo to try out her tidying method. Having read the book and watched the Netflix show, I managed to sort out all of my clothes and fold them according to her methods. I threw out one and a half bags, and have saved another for a car boot sale later this year. It feels so refreshing opening my wardrobe and drawers now and being able to see everything neat and in order!
I am not sure whether inspiration specifically leads to creativity, but surely the two work together? You can be creative without inspiration, but a lot of time people do draw on things they have seen or heard, in my opinion. When I am drawing, I usually use something else as a basis to start with, and try and make it my own, but when I am writing, I generally just make stuff up as I go along, without any specific inspiration, so it works either way for me.

-What was your favorite article from this issue and why?

I have two favorite issues actually, one of them is from the kitchen because I really love fudge and cooking is a good way to get inspiration and the other is investing in inspiration. I liked this one because I thought what the sisters did was a great idea.

- Whose story from the wizarding world most inspired you and why?

It’s hard to say, there were a lot of stories from the wizarding world that inspired me and I don’t really think that I could choose a specific one.

- Tell us about a time when you were inspired.

Well one of the times I was inspired was when I was watching some painting videos and one of them was this beautiful snowy night scene and it inspired me to paint this picture and try the techniques used in the video.

- Do you think that inspiration leads to creativity?

Yes I do think that inspiration could lead to creativity, I think it does depend on what inspired you though. Like if you were inspired by a beautiful nature scene and your creative side comes out and you paint the landscape.

- What are some things that inspire you?
Oh goodness, well I am inspired by many things. This would include reading, nature and music. I am also inspired by my family all the time, they have always been a great inspiration to me and I strive to be similar to them.
