"The more you know about the past, the better prepared you are for the future." - Theodore Roosevelt

C H A L L E N G E
The most common way we learn about history is by reading about it. While textbooks tend to be known as boring; they certainly hold a lot of information in a tiny amount of space.

This month, the A&G staff tasks you with creating a page spread from a wizarding history book about an event or historical character of your choice. What you include on your page in terms of information, images, and magical touches are fully up to you.

R E Q U I R E M E N T S
+ Any medium can be used to create your entry.
+ You must create a two-page spread of a wizarding history textbook
+ The event or person depicted, information, and layout are fully up to your discretion.

If we want to include written information - should we write the text ourselves or is it okay to use text we find online?

You’d need to write the text yourself to avoid plagiarism

i might actually try this out.

does the text we use have to be strictly canonical or can some be opinionated or made up depending on what information is available?

You are certainly entitled to use conjecture as long as you don’t blantently defy the canon. For example claiming Voldemort murdered Harry’s family on the 7th of April or gender bending Flamel wouldn’t be advised. Feel free to add embellishments to known canon or present the topic from a different side if you’d like!

Hello. I'm looking forward to taking part in this!

I just noticed though, I think the submit links might still go to the November submission form? Is this correct?

are sentient creatures allowed to be used? for example, centaurs.

That is not correct; however, it should be fixed now.

You may use any event or character, so long as it is canon.

So, this is my first time doing a Graphics Challenge. Am I allowed to draw it on paper, color it, take a picture, upload it to an image-hosting site, then submit it?
