T om Edward Rockford was known for occasionally having a tiny bit of luck, yet today he had hit the jackpot. Previously, Mr Willy Wonka had sent him a letter stating he'd won a ticket to visit his chocolate factory for a day, and Tom had nearly passed out when he'd received the letter. Surely, there must have been another Tom that this letter had been intended for? Yet, it had Tom's full name in it, and while Tom was a popular name, the chances of there being another Tom Edward Rockford were at a bare minimum.

His father had agreed to accompany him on his trip around the chocolate factory, and here they were, standing in the Chocolate Room of the chocolate factory. Mr Wonka explained that everything inside the room was edible, but Tom wasn't listening.

"Hey, what's that?" he said, pointing to a group of small people on the other side of the flowing chocolate river.

"They are Oompa Loompas," Mr Wonka explained, "they work for me, and I must say, they are very dedicated workers, payed with chocolate beans."

Tom imagined working in this glorious room every day, being payed with chocolate beans, and was tempted to swim across the river to join the Oompa Loompas.

"And now, it's time for all of you to feast upon this room! Go on, have fun!"

Tom blinked, unable to believe what his hearing. Mr Wonka nodded at him, and Tom raced up towards the top of a particularly tall hill, with grass that appeared to be made of sugar. He could now make out fine details of the chocolate room. He admired all of ice cream tress, all of the lollipop flowers, and particularly enjoyed gazing at the chocolate river, snaking through the chocolate room, as though someone had literally drew a perfect picture, and then someone had came around and been careless around it, thus accidentally making it look even better.

Tom grinned in ecstasy.

"Now," he mused, "where do I begin?"

Cassandra Hollins was a sweet girl, but she was also very practical. She knew the odds of getting a golden ticket were statically against her. Truthfully, she was curious about what was in the old factory, but not enough to spend loads of money on candy. So she told herself that she wouldn't receive a ticket and there was no use crying over it.

That didn't mean she wouldn't stop her Monday, Thursday, and Friday routine of stopping by the nearest candy store and purchasing a bar of dark chocolate. She was somewhat embarrassed to confess that she was a chocolatolic. However, it seemed to have paid off on Saturday morning when she dug through her backpack for her chocolate bar and opened it to find a golden ticket.

Her older brother had taken her while her older sister dropped them off. Charlie was staring around in wonder, same as Cassandra. She barely heard what anyone was saying, until she heard the words, "Oompa Loompas."

Tuning back in, she chuckled as Charlie ran off to explore, like the big kid he was. Climbing up a hill to get a better few of the room, Cassandra noticed another boy on the hill. She continued up and stood beside him as she looked out over the room in awe. She paid no mind to the boy as she gaped at the scene in front of her.

She gasped out, "This is amazing!" The room was filled with candy and sugary delights. The grass under their feet seemed to be sugar. The long and winding river was chocolate! The trees held gum drops and gum balls.

Cassandra struggled to process the wonders in front of her. It was absolutely brilliant! Mind blowing! Extraordinary!

"T his is amazing!"

It was only then that Tom noticed a cute girl standing next to him, as he'd been way too busy eyeing the contents of the Chocolate Room. Had she been talking to him? Tom grinned as he walked up to the nearest tree, one only about two metres from him. He jumped up, his arm extended as far as it could go, and grasped the lowest branch. He swung himself up on top of it, and began to climb higher.

Tom had set his sights on an abnormally large, delicious looking toffee bon-bon at the top of the tree. He kept on grasping branches, until he had an excellent view of the Chocolate Room. That's when how high he'd went started to kick in. His heart began to pound against his chest faster, but he'd made it so high that he saw no point in backing down now. He was so close to that epic looking bon-bon.

However, just as he grabbed onto the next branch, the one that would mean he'd be high enough to get the bon-bon, the branch snapped. Tom managed to cling onto one of the branches, yet he felt as though he'd left his stomach at that last branch. Pull yourself together, man, his mind was giving him encouragement as he clambered up again. He definitely needed encouragement, as climbing the tree was exhausting. Plus, it was hard to find helpful foot-holds in a candy cane tree.

Tom then reached the point of where the snapped branch was, and found another candy cane branch. He hauled himself up it, and grabbed the toffee bon-bon.

"Gotcha!" he panted, holding up his football sized toffee bon-bon up high, as though showing it off to all of the other kids in the factory.

Crack. The familiar, horrible sensation crept over Tom again as he fell from the tree.

"Damn you, gravity!" he snapped, just before crashing onto the sugar-grass floor with a thump.

He shook his head, shaking away a dizzy feeling, and then walked over to the cute girl.

"Here ya go!" he said, with a wink.

[i]Hey, someone's got to be the gentleman the Chocolate Factory.

Wwatching the boy with worry, she called out, "Be careful!" She believed his name was Tom. However, she was unsure. Her brown eyes widened as she watched him climb a large tree.

Her heart nearly stopped when the boy not only fell once, but twice. She looked around for someone, just in case he did really fall and hurt himself. She blushed as he walked over and handed her the toffee bon bon. Taking it, she gave him a shy smile and a soft, "Thank you."

Taking a bite, her eyes widened again. It was absolutely delicious! She gasped, "This is amazing! How do they make these?"

Mr. Wonka seemed to appear out of no where, making her jump. She took a step back and nearly fell on her bum. Mr. Wonka said, "Secret, my dear!"

Blushing, Cassandra figured she should have known that. Taking another bite, she gave a shy look to the boy next to her. Hearing Charlie call her name, she scurried down the hill.

Jumping onto him, Charlie swung her around before setting her on her feet. He exclaimed, "This place is so cool! You should see the cotton candy tree, Cassie!"

By the way Charlie was bouncing on his heels, Cassandra knew he'd began his sugar rush. Hopefully, he'd wait until they were home to crash. She was too petite to drag him home or control his exhausted behavior.

T om blushed when the girl thanked her, and quickly ran off so she wouldn't see it. He ran over to the massive chocolate mountain, gawking at the giant gobstoppers that were rolling down it. He whistled. "Impressive ... Very impressive!" he said, admiring the mountain.

He grabbed a chocolate ledge, hauled himself up and collapsed on top of it. There was a path, so he began to walk down it. He jogged along happily to begin with, contentedly breaking of chunks of chocolate every now and then for a nice snack. However, soon the path grew steep, and chocolate began to pile up in his stomach; his walking pace slowed and slowed until it stopped.

Tom brushed his sweaty hair out of his eyes. He guessed that he was approximately half-way up the chocolate mountain. He sat down on a large raspberry bon bon rock and ate more chocolate from the ground. Rumble rumble rumble. "Huh?" Tom stood up and looked all about him. He listened hard, and noticed that the noise was coming from the steep path ahead. He peaked around the corner.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUGGGGHHHH!!!"

Tom bolted down the path, back down the way of which he came. A giant gobstopper boulder was rolling after him. His heart was pounding on his rib cage so hard that it hurt. It hurt everywhere. Tom's arms, legs, stomach, head ... It was all aching. Tom gained speed as he sensed the gobstopper right behind him.

He knew it was a foolish thing to do, but Tom couldn't help glancing behind his back. It happened then. One moment, his feet were stampeding on the ground, and in the next ... They weren't! Tom yelled in terror as he plummeted towards the ground. "Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp!"

Snapping her head up, Cassandra gasped as she watched the boy fall. Charlie looked confused until he followed her line of vision. Cursing, he snapped back into a (somewhat) responsible adult. He ordered Cassandra, "Stay here."

With that, he took off to try and find Mr. Wonka. Giving his retreating form a look, Cassandra darted off. Tracing the path with her mind, she realized he'd hit the chocolate river. Giving a glance to the sweet river, she saw the current was too fast for him to be unable to stop himself.

Finally, she dropped to her knees on one side of the river and leaned forward. Biting her lip, Cassandra hoped dearly she'd judged correctly and the boy would come her way. As soon as she spotted him, sputtering, as he coasted down the river, she leaned forward more.

One hand stretched out, while her other was grounding her from falling in. Just as he neared her, she called loudly, "Take my hand!"

((Sorry it's so short.))

S plash!

The impact of Tom's fall left Tom on the verge of being unconscious. He had fell into the chocolate river, and was left coughed and splattering, half awake. But the worst part was that for some cruel reason, God saw fit to make Tom utter his disoriented thoughts all our for all to hear. "Oh crap, this ain't good. Hey, I wonder where that cute girl is? This chocolate river ...Tastes like chocolate! How strange ...?" he said.

The river was dragging him about so fast that Tom was kept above the surface by the speed. But then he suddenly saw a hand. He quickly grabbed it, and felt himself being hauled up out of the river. "Oh, look! It's the pretty girl again!" Tom exclaimed, pointing at the girl, shameless in his disoriented state.

He looked into her face. "Yep. You are pretty," he declared, "so what's your name? Mine is Tom, Tom Rockford! I have a good name, don't you think? Yes, Tom Rockford is a good name!"
