The flower that blooms in adversity
Biochemist. Graphics Designer.
Disney Princess (no kidding!).
Otaku. Witch. Ravenclaw.
Hi, I'm Christine. But I'm not really known for my real name so you can call me Saphy or Saph instead. When I'm not practicing magic, I'm a Biochemist. Right now, I'm taking masterals on Biological Sciences, majoring on Molecular Biology. I used to want to become a medical doctor but then I realized that I couldn't really see myself being one. And so I took Biochemistry instead because it sounded kick-ass. LOL. Aside from that (and perhaps more importantly), I took Biochemistry because I wanted to get to know my own condition. I have psoriasis you see and I thought, taking up Biochemistry could help me understand the disease. It did. And now, I still want to know more, hence, grad school. My friends are amazed that I still want to continue my education. Uni had been hell. Grad School is worse. But what can I say? I guess, I really am a Ravenclaw through and through.
Is the most rare and beautiful of them all
So when I'm not 'punishing' myself with studies, I escape to the wizarding world. <3 The day I found out about hex had been a blessing. This site has served as my get-away from reality, a place-to-be when I want to relax and have fun. Here, not only do I get to practice my creative writing and graphics skills (something that I could not do as a Biochemist, sadly) but I also get to chat with people who love Harry Potter as much as I do. I guess some of you would know how frustrating it gets when you want to blabber about the recent Harry Potter news but can't because your friends just can't get into the same hype-level as you. But here on hex, I feel so normal (mainly because there are crazier people around. LOL.)
People worth mentioning
Mommy Nefa - My hex mother. My guardian. My hex mentor. I was truly blessed when Mommy 'Nefy' accepted me as a hex daughter. I coerced her into it! Use my charms (not that I have a lot) and everything. Mommy Nefa taught me a lot, especially when it comes to business. My only regret is that, these days, I don't get to practice what she taught me. I wish I'm not too busy in RL.
Cissy - my little sister isn't so little anymore. She may only be just 12 years old, but sometimes, I can't help but feel like she's way older than me. Miss you bunches, little Cissy!
Super Bugsy - greatest, coolest, most wonderful Bug in the whole world. Sherry Bugsy has a lot of life. You can squash and squish her a millionth times and she'd still come back, alive and kicking (more like scampering on the floor since she's a bug). She's my manga-buddy. Kakashi-sensei's protegee (she fancies herself as a full pledged ninja) . Recently, I introduced her to the world of Mulan and she liked it so much she made me this layout. Cheers!
Adam - I just want to thank this great person for believing in my graphics skills. I've idolized him so much as a GD that hearing him compliment my skills and recommending me to his acquaintance lift up my spirits. Thanks, Adam. <3
John - The first person in hex I've ever looked up to. I don't know if he remembers but he sent me this wonderful message via owl telling me how I remind him of someone in hex who's a great writer and was the quickest newbie to get insanely rich so quickly and without cheating. My newbie heart was so flattered then. It was a random message but I would forever remember it.
Josh - I think it's time to add Joshy on the list. I'm happy that I was given a chance to work with him. Working with him for two months made me appreciate Josh behind his title. And he's brilliant! Totally brilliant. Greatest programmer I know of. I used to be scared of him. :P But now...I'm only scared a little bit. Hehe.
