About ME

I read constantly, all the time, whether it's fanfic, novels, or amusing online parodies. If I'm not on Hex, you'll typically find me sleeping, at school, or *gasp* being social. I adore theater and make a point of going as often as I possibly can.

I'm currently a junior in high school, and school and I have a very love/hate relationship. I have decided that Chem and Math need to die. Now. I'm not taking any science, which is nice, although I may die with the five AP/IB courses I'm taking. I plan on completing a IB diploma.

Activities I do include my school's newspaper (I'm the Arts Section Editor and aspiring Editor-in-Chief), my school's literary magazine (I'm the Junior Editor AKA Editor-In-Chief elect), Mock Trial (Lawyer), stage crew for the musicals (I'm Assistant Stage Manager, and I get one of those awesome headsets. yay) and my school's GSA (of which I'm currently a member.) And yes, as you can probably tell, I'm extremely proud of all my positions. ><

Rigel Decorus

Rigel comes from a pureblood family with a bloodline as far reaching as it can conceivably be. Sarcastic and quick witted, Rigel hides a more sensitive side from the public's knowledge. Prone to both solitude and being a social leader, Rigel is immensely complex and difficult to understand. He battles with issues of prejudice and morality, constantly attempting to find a middle ground.

As a child, he sometimes played with his older brother, Cuthbert, but he left when Rigel was only 4. His parents did not make much better company. His father was a mysterious man, one of those ministry types – imposing and elusive of question. The Decoruses, though documented well in linage, had a murky past full of disinheirants and traitors. Rigel did not want to be one of them, so he stayed quiet and got sorted into Slytherin as he should have.

Rigel is highly prejudiced, but his intelligence outweighs it, so he does his best to overcome it. He breaks rules often, but only when he thinks he won’t get caught and his ego constantly tells him that he won’t, in spite of reason. He is prone to wandering the castle alone at night.

Rigel also plays Quidditch as a Beater, mainly to satisfy his mother and attempt to make new friends. Secretly though, he loves it.

Blaise Zabini

Blaise was born an only child to the famously beautiful Jenardanna Zabini, whose name he took. His mother has refused to tell him who his father was and it is rumored that she herself does not know. As a child, Blaise was dragged from house to house as his mother remarried constantly to suspiciously old, and always pureblooded husbands. The husbands usually died within the year. They were always rich.

Blaise was a boy of privilege and occasional seclusion. He was often unhappy and drew inwards for entertainment rather than bond with his mother whom he felt little connection. He developed something akin to a sense of supreme entitlement along with certain arrogance familiar to Slytherin house.

When he was 11, he received his Hogwarts letter to little surprise from his current family. The moment the Sorting Hat touched his head, it was certain that he would be in Slytherin. And so it was. Quickly he made friends with some of his peers and developed a reputation for aloofness, arrogance, and indifference. He has never dated and isn’t sure he will.

His indifference extends to his allegiances – although he is strongly prejudiced, he believes the killing to be unfounded and frankly ridiculous. None of his relatives were Death Eaters and he has no direct ties, money is more important to them than pleasing someone beside themselves.
