one was afraid to fallSo this is where I'm supposed to talk about myself, huh? Man I hate talking about myself, I never know what to say. Well let's see...my name is Jade, I'm 20 years old, and I'm from Texas. I've been on HEX for a while and I've accomplished a lot since then. I write for and am the editor of the coolest publication ever, The Quibbler. I was in the 2010 IHC and my Gryffenclaw chess team totally whooped the Slytherpuffs. I was once the Gryffindor Head Girl, Assistant Head of House, AND Head of House. Once upon a time I became a moderator in the RPC, and then I guess I became so obviously awesome after all of this happened, that I was promoted to a Global Moderator.I watch a lot of TV, kinda. To be precise, I download a lot of television shows and tell myself I will eventually watch them sometime before I die but it takes me a while to actually, you know, get around to that. Some of my favorite TV shows are: Dexter, True Blood, Sherlock (BBC), Merlin, Justified, Game of Thrones, Misfits, Sons of Anarchy, The Office, Parks and Recreation, Community, Band of Brothers, The Vampire Diaries, and... Supernatural. Although I actually have stopped watching Supernatural because it has become a terrible show with writers who make terrible decisions. Anyway... I also like to watch movies, but not nearly as much as I like to devour television shows. My top three favorite films are Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Science of Sleep, and Almost Famous. Some movies that are also amazing and get an honorable mention here in my profile, are A Beautiful Mind, Memoirs of a Geisha, Fight Club, Brokeback Mountain, and A Single Man. |
Most of the time though, I'm usually blogging on Tumblr. If I'm not doing that, then I'm reading. At the moment I'm simultaneously reading the Dexter novels and the Millennium Trilogy. And if I'm not reading actual books, I'm reading Dean/Castiel fanfiction. Above all else, the Dean/Castiel ship is the most important thing to me. I actually feel it's terribly inaccurate to call them a "ship" in reference to how I feel about them; they're more like my entire life. (I know, I'm crazy.)
the other, afraid to flyAdmittedly, my passion for Harry Potter has dwindled over the years, but it's still something I care about immensely. I grew up falling in love with this series, so it will always be a part of me. I think I fit more into Slytherin than Gryffindor. (Pottermore sorted me into Slytherin so that's gotta make it pretty accurate, right?) But I mean, Gryffindor is super cool too, so I don't mind. I can be pretty Gryffindor-esque sometimes.I love music a hell of a lot. I honestly could never live without it; I always have to have music playing in the background because silence makes me very uneasy. My favorite genres are Alternative, Indie, Folk, and Acoustic. My top three favorite bands are Circa Survive, Brand New, and Bon Iver. I also really enjoy: City and Colour, Bright Eyes, Death Cab For Cutie, Kings of Leon, William Fitzsimmons, Ray LaMontagne, Mumford and Sons, Damien Rice, HIM, Iron and Wine, Local Natives, Minus the Bear, Portugal.
