Mummy," A young girl pulled her mom to the candy line. "I want to get a golden ticket!"
"Yes dear, but I need to go to the salon. Maybe if you're good I'll get you a candy bar after."
"But mum," the girl pulled harder, "I want one now. And not just one. It's rare to get one, you know that. It took weeks for you to find yours!"

The girl's mother , Veruca Salt, sighed. Her daughter, Viol, took on her trait of being a bit of a brat, but she definitely wasn't as when Veruca was a girl.

"I'll get you one now and two after okay? If you're extra good I'll do that every Sunday and Saturday until you get your Golden Ticket."

Viol nodded, and after she got her candy bar, which did not have a Ticket in it, they went to the salon. She was a bit fidgety, but since she knew she had to be good to get her candy bars, so she was pretty good, but bored.

"Can I have my chocolate bars now?" Viol rushed into the candy store, brushing past everyone else.
" You can have three, darling. Pick which ones you want." Veruca told her.

Viol decided to take three different kinds of candy bars, making it more easy to get a Ticket. She also decided to take the new, fancy looking ones, but then spotted an old, wrinkly regular chocolate bar hidden in the back. So, she took the new and fancy caramel and raspberry, and the old hidden regular chocolate bar.

As her mother was paying, Viol noticed someone eyeing her. She couldn't tell if it was a boy or girl, but they looked her age.
She looked at the person, and then they left.

Viol screamed excitedly. "I got it!" Her family ran over to her. "I got the Golden Ticket!"

She had been right about the chocolate in the back. It had a Ticket in it.

She read out loud: "Greetings to you, the lucky finder of this Golden Ticket,

"From Mr. Willy Wonka and Charlie and all the rest! We shake you warmly by the hand! For now, we do invite you to come to our factory and be our guest for one whole day." She took a deep breath and continued,"We, Willy Wonka and Charlie, will be conducting you around the factory ourselves, showing you everything you need to see, and when it is time to leave, You will be escorted with a number of large trucks. Each one is filled with all the chocolate you could ever eat. And remember, one of you lucky five children will receive an extra prize beyond your wildest imagination! Now, here is your instructions: On the first of February, meet us at the factory gates at sharply 10:00 A.M. You are allowed to bring one and only one guest. Until then,

Willy Wonka
Charlie Bucket"

Viol screamed once more. She couldn't believe this was happening. She was going to have the best time ever.

It was February first. Viol skipped to the gates of the factory. It was 9:45 and Viol and the kid she saw in the candy shop two months ago was there. She wondered what their story was.

The clock bell rang to 10:00. Ten lucky people were there, waiting for the wonders of the factory. There were a bunch of others too. Suddenly the door opened. Everyone cheered. Viol was the most excited she has ever been. Her next stop: The Candy Room.

"Come on! Hurry up, Mom!" Shana Gloop pulled at her mother's sleeve. "If we're late, perhaps Willy Wonka won't let us in!"

Her mom sighed. "Shana dear, just wait a moment."

"No I WON'T WAIT! FINE, if you don't want to come with me, I'll go by myself." Shana was a very selfish, mean brat who was way too spoiled by her father, who had previously gotten a Golden Ticket the last time Willy Wonka had done this. Her father was well known, for he was Augustus Gloop after all. The moment Mr. Gloop had heard about the Golden Ticket thing, he had promised Shana that he would not stop eating candy bars until he found a Golden Ticket. True to his word, Mr. Gloop stopped going to work after a bit and all he did was sit at the kitchen table, eating candy bars all day long. Shana came to him every single day and whenever he told her that he hadn't found a Golden Ticket yet, she would have a temper tantrum. Finally, when he found it, Shana told the news reporters that she had found the ticket "all by herself."

Shana looked up in awe at the factory. It wasn't exactly beautiful, just gray and dull, but was amazing in a whole different way. Then her eyes caught on Mr. Wonka and Charlie. Mr. Wonka was wearing strange glasses, a hat, a suit and tie, and squeaky rubber gloves. Everything he wore was purple. Mr. Wonka looked young, but Shana noticed some wrinkles under his eyes.

No wonder he had to get an heir, Shana thought to herself. He's gonna die soon. Shana didn't care about that part, but she wished that she could run the factory (not that she had the abilities to). She was so lost in thought she didn't even notice a sweaty Mrs. Gloop hurry up next to her.

Charlie- what was his last name? Oh yes, Bucket. Charlie Bucket was a drab, plain teenager that Shana would have thought was just a person in the crowd if she didn't know who he was. What a dump, she thought. Mr. Wonky (she had made the nickname up a long time ago) must be mad to have chosen him to be his heir after he dies. Shana comforted herself by muttering bad things about Charlie and Mr. Wonka. She was interrupted by Mr. Wonka.

"Greetings, lucky winners! Today you will take a tour around the factory and see all kinds of things other people would never see. Again, one of you lucky children will receive an additional prize."

Shana's eyes lit up. Maybe Mr. Wonka was finally coming to his senses about how bad Charlie was! As if reading her mind, Mr. Wonka looked straight at Shana and laughed, a bit annoyed.

"No, the prize will NOT be becoming my heir as I already have one." He gestured to Charlie. Shana's shoulders slumped and she glared at him. He looked unnerved.

"Well, let the gates open!" He cried. Nothing happened. "Ahem! Let the gates OPEN!" He yelled louder. A few strange creatures that Shana had heard of called Oompa Loompas scurried to open the gates. With a screech, they opened and the lucky children all ran through. Shana followed. She glanced at the girl she had seen in a shop two months earlier. She warmed up to the girl quite easily. However, Shana didn't get the girl to be her friend by being nice. Shana always got what she wanted by forcing it to happen, or by whining about it.

Shana skipped over to the girl with her mom following slowly behind.

"You're going to be my best friend for today, and that's that!" She exclaimed brightly. "Anyways... I'm Shana Biddy Gloop and I'm 11 years old. You will be my friend, my BEST friend, but remember- if the both of us were the only two remaining and one of us was going to get the prize, I'm going to be the one who gets it."

Viol looked at the girl. "We'll see about that." She said crudely. The walked in. "And I'm Viol Salt and 11 and 1/2 years old."

The factory on the outside was pretty bland. On the inside was a different story, though. It was Gold and Silver, purple and green. There were millions of rooms extending everywhere, each a different color and had a name on it. The one that stood out though was the biggest, brightest, boldest one with giant letters reading €Chocolate Room¶

All the children gaped in awe at the door. Wonders awaited, just in that room. An edible room. Hey, maybe even the door and floor was edible. Viol had a temptation to try it out herself, to just go up and start eating to door.
But she knew not to. She knew she wouldn't get the prize that way.

"So," Viol whispered to Shana. "What's your deal?" Charlie was saying something to the rest of the group, but it looked as Shana didn't care. "I mean, half the kids who go through here are brats who don't care about anything accept the candy and of course themselves."

"Veol," Charlie spoke up.

"Um," Viol looked. "It's Viol."

"Yes, well," Charlie said, eyeing Vercura. "Could you please explain what I just said, please?"

Viol stood up straight, eyeing Shana in a help me way. "Well, um.."

"No?" Charlie asked after second or two. "Well, I'm sure Miss. Becca and help you out.

A short, brown haired, girl with glasses stood up. "Yes. You said that we will have an amazing time but we have to be careful."

"Yes, Becca. Now, Mr. Wonka, if you will,"

The big doors started opening. This was it. She was about to start her days journey.

Shana's face flushed with anger. "What's my DEAL? You are so rude. Mr. Wonky doesn't like you." She sniffed loudly and stuck her nose up, completely refusing to think that maybe it was her fault. Mrs. Gloop took a few deep breaths and walked over to Viol, crouching to face her.

In a low voice, she muttered, "I'm terribly sorry about my daughter. She can be... rude... sometimes." Mrs. Gloop stood up suddenly and hurried back over to Shana. Shana sniffed again, loudly, and stomped away from her mother. Mr. Wonka and Charlie looked back at her, exchanging glances.

"Please don't stomp in my factory," Mr. Wonka said. Shana shrugged. Mr. Wonka's voice rose. "Do you hear me, young lady?"

Shana shook with anger at the injustice of it all. (Again, she was refusing to think that she was making things "unfair.") She couldn't help but get right in front of his face and yell, "Yes, of course, Mr. Wonky- I mean, Mr. Wonka." Shana's mom clenched and unclenched her fists several times, her face now resembling a plum, it was so purple. Mr. Wonka smiled kindly at Mrs. Gloop, as if to say, I'm sorry you have to deal with this little brat. Then he straightened up again and regained his composure.

"Well, on with the show!" He ushered them through the big doors and into a long hallway that was completely white. Everyone looked around, confused. This didn't look like something that would be in a candy factory.

Mr. Wonka and Charlie led them over to a tiny door. Shana's heart leapt. This must be for the Oompa Loompas! "This is for the Oompa Loompas," Charlie announced. He knocked once, twice on the door and the door faded into the wall. Everyone was in shock. As if to surprise everyone even more, a huge rainbow colored door appeared on the wall right then and there. All the children and their guardians gasped. It was a magnificent sight to be seen. Charlie bowed and Mr. Wonka beamed. The doors opened by themselves and everyone peered inside. To put it straight, it was candy heaven.

Viol looked away. She didn't mean to hurt Shana, but man had she figured out what was her "deal" fast. Shana was a bad tempered brat who pretended to be a baby.

Everyone soon forgot their madness, even Shana, when they saw what was inside.

It truely was nothing like Viol expected, way beyond her imagination.

Candy canes, flowers, mushrooms with cream, grass made of sugar, more flowers with a drink inside, gummy bears on trees, pumpkins that don't have pulp but chocolate, M&Ms, umbrellas, grass, and more were there. Oh, and of course, the amazing chocolate river that laveshed through the whole room.

It was quite the lot to take in.

Viol knew that she couldn't eat it all, but she knew that she would eat a lot. Her first step was the chocolate pumpkin, which was also her mothers first stop. Then the gigantic gummy bears, then the flowers, the the umbrellas. Okay, she was getting a bit too far. It was just all so exciting.

Mr. Wonka stepped in front of the group. Viol knew what was going to happen next. "Make a wish and count to three." He said.

All the kids and parents did so. Then they raced down the steps into the room fully. Everyone ran to their own place, and started to eat.

Shana pushed her mother away. "You're not getting any candy!" She sneered, and raced down the stairs toward the chocolate river. Charlie turned around and watched her. He winced and hissed something to Mr. Wonka. Mr. Wonka smiled and strode over to Shana.

"Just like your father, eh?" he asked. "Fell into that exact river and got out before we even started."

Shana looked up, surprised. "Daddy- I mean, my dad got out in the very beginning? He wasn't even close to winning the prize?" Mr. Wonka nodded. Shana felt faint. She had always thought her father was one of the best people ever, but he didn't even get close to winning that prize! That stupid Charlie Bucket got it. She was so surprised her foot slipped and she toppled towards the chocolate lake.

Shana screamed, and managed just to regain her balance. Mr. Wonka and Charlie exchanged sad glances. "Bummer," Charlie said. "I was so certain she was going to fall." Shana swallowed nervously and sighed. She couldn't believe Charlie and Mr. Wonka wanted her to not win the prize. Shana thought of maybe trying to be nicer and decided she would.

Shana put on a big smile and hurried away from the lake. She walked over to a lollipop plant with lollipops as flowers. She picked a large one (it looked like this: ) and took a large lick. She almost had a heart attack, it was so good! The lollipop was sugary and oh so delicious! Shana took another large lick and closed her eyes, savoring the flavor. When she received a kick to the leg, she whipped around, eyes blazing. It was Becca, BECCA who had kicked her. Becca, Miss Know It All had kicked her! Shana couldn't believe it. Sure, maybe I'm a brat SOMETIMES, but look at that girl, what was that for? Then Shana remembered she was trying to be nice and grinned at Becca.

"I'm sorry, Becca. What do you need?" She asked.

"W-what?" Becca was so surprised that she stumbled backward and fell right into the lake. Shana watched with horror as Becca was drawn slowly toward a large pipe. I know what happens now, Shana thought to herself, freaking out. She rushed towards where Mr. Wonka and Charlie were talking. She pulled on Mr. Wonka's sleeve. He looked at her.

"Mr. Wonka, please!! Becca's getting drawn towards the pipe! She's getting sucked up!" Shana screamed.

"Oh, dear." He looked with hard eyes at Shana. "Did you push her?"

"NO! I swear, I did not! Please, believe me! And do something!" Shana begged, on her knees now. Charlie's eyes widened.

"You've changed a lot, haven't you? Now you're much nicer," Charlie said. "And no, we can't save Becca now. She got out on her own. And I saw Becca kicking you, so you're okay."

Shana sighed with relief. She knew if Mr. Wonka hadn't believed that she had not pushed Becca, she would be out of the factory in a moment. Maybe I can still win the prize. "Well, I am trying to be nice," Shana said, smiling at Mr. Wonka and Charlie. She knew she was sort of sucking up to them, but she wasn't going to be THAT nice and let someone else win the prize.

Viol noticed that Shana had been nicer towards everyone. It was probably so she could get the prize. But it would be
nice for her to be good.

Meanwhile, Viol had noticed that the other two kids, Conner and Brian, were fighting over a giant green gummy bear.

The parents were doing their own thing, Becca's dad was eating a string of orange giant licorice. Conner's mom was was eating cream off a mushroom. Brian's dad was eating a sugar rock. Shana's mom was exchanging a red umbrella for a blue one with Viol's mom.

Willy Wonka and Charlie were walking around, watching everyone and talking with flower tea cups in their hands. A gum balloon flew over and hit Charlie, knocking him over.
Viol muffled a laugh, which soon became a snort, which caused her to loose balance and topple over into her chocolate pumpkin.

Conner saw her and laughed as he clipped and jumped up and down, causing him to get hit with a branch that had M@Ms flying on him.

Viol, who was now covered in a chocolately gooey mess, walked over to Shana. "May I try?" She asked Shana, who was eating a sugar cane.

Shana looked up. She was still kind of miffed about what Viol had said earlier, but she remembered that she was trying to be nice and smiled at her.

"Of course," Shana exclaimed. "There's a whole bush of them there." She pointed at a huge bush with candy canes all over it. She looked Viol up and down. "What happened to you?"

Viol opened her mouth to say something, but it was interrupted by a scream that could shatter glass.

"What in the world..." Mr. Wonka turned around slowly to see Conner sitting on Brian. "Excuse me!" He lifted his cane and pushed Conner off Brian. "Break it up, people."

"But it was fun!" Conner protested, while Brian rubbed his stomach, groaning.

"No horseplay here. We're moving on," Mr. Wonka proclaimed. Everyone moaned and said things like, "No, why do we have to leave?" and, "NO, just a little bit more time?"

But despite all the protests, Charlie, pushed everyone forwards. Some Oompa Loompas were standing in front of them. They led the large group to a boat shaped like a dragon. It was made completely out of candy.

"The Dragon Boat," Charlie announced. Everyone oohed and aahed. "You probably already know about this. Get on, everyone!"

Viol was exicted. Her mom had told her all about the Dragon Boat and how scary it was. And Viol liked scary, and tunnels, and boats, so this might be just the right time of the right day of the right year for her. Scary was her new "gaze" this year, since she has fazes every new year. Last year it was parties, and now this year it's being scared.

"Alright, Albright, come on in," Mr. Wonka told them all after a minute or two of gaping at the boat. He guests red, and fhey hoped in.

As soon as Charlie and Mr. Wonka got in, the Oompa Loompas started to turn the steer and row.

Everyone was enjoying themselves for now. "Can I lick the boat?" Conner asked.

Charlie laughed. "Of course, it's made of candy!"

All of them started licking the boat. It was truly delicious but funny to watch. If it was any other place, then people would be calling them crazy.

Then, here came the tunnel. It seemed scarier than what Viol expected. "Here we go," she said out loud, and the boat surged into the dark cave.

"AHHH!!!!" Shana couldn't help but scream. Not in terror, but in excitement. Then the scream became terror. "ARGH!!!!!!!!! NO!!!!!!!!" Shana hated roller coasters, and this felt just like one. The Dragon Boat bumped its way through the cave/tunnel, swerving and jolting everyone around. Shana's stomach lurched, and she knew she was going to throw up. She leaned to the side of the boat and threw up her breakfast. Fortunately, everyone was just paying attention to the front of the boat, where they were heading, not Shana. Shana wiped her mouth and moaned quietly.

"Are you alright?" Her mother yelled over the howling of the wind.

"Not nearly," she screamed back, but regretted it. It made her want to throw up again. She ducked over the side of the boat and came up again, feeling a lot better. She shut her eyes and waited for the ride to end. Finally, the boat came to a jerking stop. Everything was bright around them. Shana jumped off the boat onto a marble floor, glad to get off the crazy boat. "Where next?" she asked Willy Wonka. He grinned at her.

"You'll see." Then he turned to the rest of the kids and said, "Give me a moment. Viol, would you please come up here? And Shana?" They approached him uneasily. "Okay." He whispered. "This is the thing. You two seem like the probable people who could win the prize. If you two are left, both of you will win something."

"B-but only one person can win!" Shana stuttered.

"I might just change it." He winked and strode off. Shana and Viol exchanged glances, then followed him.

"Change it?" Viol mumbled to Shana as they followed Wonka. She had no idea what she was talking about, and when she had no idea and wanted to know: she put her skills to the test. "We need to figure out what he means," she whispered to Shana.

"Mr. Wonka?" She asked. "Where are we exactly going? And why is it just the two of us?"

When Viol said that, he turned around. He looked at the children down below. He turned back to the girls. "Oh, yes." Once again he turned around to the other children and parents. Brian was trying to break off a piece of fruit flavored wall paper. "Hey!" Wonka yelled at them. "Stop that!" Brian immediately stopped.

Wonka turned back around again. "Well, I need to show you girls something real quick before I show it to them. There might be-shall we say- an incident if they come first."

Viol and Shana exchanged glances once again. "Hmm.." They both mumbled.

(So sorry I couldn't write one for a couple days! With school finishing and all, ya know.)

Mr. Wonka beckoned for them to follow him. He wove his way through a series of tunnels and twists. It was hard for Shana and Viol to keep up. "Come on, come on!" He kept muttering. Finally, the girls and Mr. Wonka reached yet another bend and when they turned it, there was nothing. Except for a lone piece of paper on the ground. Mr. Wonka picked it up and started reading.

"Dear Winner of the Prize,

Congratulations! You have won a special prize. Listen up, the prize is that you can come to the factory whenever you want (you will have a personal escort), and also, you will take control of the factory when Charlie becomes a business man. Now, you might think, why wouldn't Charlie want to stay at the factory? He fount out recently that he didn't like candy so much and was getting bored of it. So, when Charlie finally makes a decision, you can step up and rule the factory.

Regards,

Willy Wonka."

Shana and Viol looked at each other again in surprise.

"I think you two will win it," Mr. Wonka exclaimed.

(It's okay)

"Your right. The others, well, they won't suit the job." Viol nodded. "And Mr. Wonka, do you think the others should know about the prize and the two winners thing? It might cause some fighting, you know.."

He nodded in agreement after thinking a while. "Your right, Ms. Salt." After another moment, he said. "And no offense, to both of you, I almost thought you two were the exact opposite ones for the prize. You, Ms. Salt, for well, being a Salt and your traits, and you, Ms. Gloop, well, for the temper tantrum you had earlier. As I said again, no offense."

Viol nodded sightly. It was a bit rude, but she understood. Her mother's reputation as a kid was a sore subject in the family. She hoped Shana would take it okay though.

Willy Wonka cleared his throught. "Well, we best be going back. The others might be wondering where we are going."

They nodded and off they went.

"Where were you?" Conner demanded, holding Brian in a headlock. He quickly let go as Mr. Wonka saw.

"Some things," Mr. Wonka said simply. Everyone looked mystified, but didn't say anything."Onto the Nut Room!" He yelled, and hurried off. They all followed after a moment's hesitation. They reached a large room in which over a hundred squirrels were sitting on chairs, chomping away at nuts. ''They're taking off the shells," he told the confused parents and children. Brian edged close to Viol.

"This is where you're supposed to get out of the contest, NUTHEAD, just like your mom," he hissed. Viol looked simply furious and Shana stepped in.

"Excuse me," she said to Brian, smiling brightly. "I heard what you said, and that isn't nice at all, is it? Now move along," she instructed. Brian looked weirded out and shuffled away.

Viol sighed and shook her head at Brian. "Thanks," She whispered to Shana. "I could tell someone was going to mention it at some point, but the way Brian said that I was supposed to do the same thing as my mom.." She shook her head again. "Let's just move on."

Viol moved up to the front and watched the squirrels take off the nuts. Mr. Wonka slowly opened the door that separated the room from them, and they stood on a platform so they could see a better view. Viol was careful not to loose her balance as she crept down the stairs, the others following her. "Woah. It's not at all like I imagin-" Suddenly she screamed as Brian shoved her off towards the shoot. He snickered as she slid, her feet uncontrollable. She knew what to do though: She curled her toes and extended her legs. She had a lot of practice getting up from a shoot, but she didn't really want to talk about it.

The others watched carefully, terror on their faces, except for Brian, who was smirking. Viol stopped sliding, and that made the smirk wipe off his face. She slowly inched herself up, very slowly, until her hands could reach the bottom of the rail of the platform, and pulled herself up. Shana ran back up to the platform and reached out her hand, and Viol took it.

Viol then came over the rail onto the platform. Then, she went up to Brian, and elbowed him. He slipped and fell into the shoot, screaming. "Nuthead," She simply said and they left.

(It's fine )

"Good job! He deserved it!" Shana said to Viol. "Well..." she lowered her voice. "Only 1 other person left besides us. Conner."

They both looked at Conner, who was breaking the rules again and getting ahead of Mr. Wonka, which was what you weren't supposed to do. "Back, Conner, BACK," Charlie instructed. Conner rolled his eyes and muttered something bad. Shana couldn't believe how much she had been like Conner just a half hour ago. She had changed a lot.

"Now, onto one of my favorite rooms. The television room." Mr. Wonka stepped back and let the remaining adults and children see. The room was completely white, and several Oompa Loompas were scurrying around. "Put on these goggles, quick!"

Everyone fastened them on and stepped into the room. "SWEET!" Said Conner. "I know about this room! I wanna teleport myself!" Before anyone could stop him, he jumped on the teleporter and pushed the red button. He disappeared a few seconds later.

"Well, he's out now," Mr. Wonka said lightly and turned to Shana and Viol.

Viol almost wanted to do a facepalm. She had heard what had happened to the last person to do this. It was not something to try.

Suddenly a small shout could be heard. "Hey, everyone!" Conner yelled. "Over here!"

Everyone ran to him. "Oh my," Becka's dad said.

"What happened to him?" Conner's mom asked Charlie and Mr. Wonka in a worried voice.

"Well," Charlie told her, "He shrunk."

"I can see that!" She said. "But why?"

"Broke into a million pieces and put back together." Viol told them, not taking her eyes at all off Conner. "Just like last time.."

"Last time??" Conner's mom came up face to face with Mr. Wonka. "You mean this has happened before? And you knew what would happe-"

"Yes, Ms."

"I'm not done! So your saying you knew exactly what would happen, but you didn't try to stop him!?!" She yelled. Before he could respond, she took Conner and walked to an Oolumpa Loompa. "Fix him!" She yelled. The Oolumpa Loompa nodded and walked out, Conner and his mom following.

Viol turned to face the door. "One down," She started.

"Three to go," Shana finished.
