Ellie had to admit after her maker had been brutally murdered she had become a colder and more malicious.
She didn't like many people. She had instead focused on her little girl Madeline, but her daughters recklessness
caused her to bite and flight. So now she was here looking after a new vampire. He was old enough to know better, but
he still needed guidence. After so long Ellie couldn't believe that she had to teach someone elses child what was right
and wrong. A sigh fell from her lips and she clenched her teach someone else what to and not to do. On the brighter side
they managed to make it to her favorite area. She and Anthony had made a contract with the locals about 1000 years ago. She
wondered if the tales of the Vampeers still lingered around. They would be able to reap havoc if the legened didn't go on.
That was the agreement. "You shall remember our names and you shall sacrifice your most pure in order for us to leave. She
smirked as the creeped in on a villager. She looked at Brandyn "Take her" He was a soft character she didn't know what Maddy had seen in him.
She pursed her lips and then narrowed her eyes "Go!" She ordered. She watched Brandyn bolt toward the girl and pounce on her. She growled a little.

The girl was dead and he had drained her, there was nothing wrong with that but what he failed to do was check to see if her blood was poisined or not
Ellie growled and stalked over to him "BRANDYN!" She demanded "When did you check to see if she was pure?" Her eyes narrowed, she sneered at him
and the younger Vampire knew that he had done something wrong. If he could have he would curl up into a ball and rock back and forth.
She sighed and rolled her eyes. She sniffed the air and then wiped a drop of blood from his lip. She smelt it and licked the blood off of her finger,
"You're lucky she's clean" she spat. She looked at the girl "Pick up her body, we're taking her back to the village" She said smiling. Brandyn frowned
"W-what?" He said in confusion, "We're not hiding her?" Ellie smiled and then pushed him toward the body. She cracked her neck and then looked him up and down
"in two days we head to a mountain top and if the villagers aren't there with a sacrifice then we shall drain this village dry"

Brandyn looked at her in confusion. "I don't understand" Ellie walked ahead of him as he flung the body of the girl over his shoulder.
"1000 Years ago I was here with my maker..." She said telling the story fondly "We were only there once but we hoped to leave an impression on them"
She said recalling her maker, she had been in love with him since the first time they had met. He kept her captive and when he decided to turn her
she had accepted that "We came here with an intent to kill them all, but we were approached by one brave man who offered us a deal.
They would give us their purest of heart and blood and we would leave" She smirked "So as long as we are not seen and we're at the meet point in two days
we can eat all we like as long as we display the bodies" She said proudly. Brandyn looked at the older Vampire slightly bewildered. Ellie smirked
"Don't look at me like that, when you're as old as I you have to find any means of entertainment" She smirked, "The other good thing about being what we are
is that stamina doesn't falter in the bedroom" She said smirking. She looked at the boy and then created a cross to holister the girl on.

After a few minutes the young girl was on the cross and Ellie and Branadyn added 3 or 4 more bodies around the cross and then went to a cave for rest. She
had managed to make it look as homely as possible, this happened to be the save that she and Anthony had slept in. She sat in silence for a few seconds.
She swallowed hard and then looked at the walls. She smiled and trailed a hand along it. they had made love in this cave many times. Ellie felt upset that
she wasn't with Anthony when he died, she had only heard about it. They sepearated after a while and she had heard through a close frined that he died. Sometimes
she could have sworn that she could smell him around. She narrowed her eyes and then looked at Brandyn, "Go to sleep. We have a long Night tomorrow"

She huffed and then lay down on a makeshift leaf bed. She rubbed her eyes and brushed her hair back out of her face with her hand.

((I Hope that's okay, it's choppy because of notepad. I had written more but it got deleted, so I thought I'd post this for you so you had something to reply to ))

In the village Hillard tradition was everything, it had been for almost a thousand years now. In that many years things never changed many people couldn’t imagine if things went the other way, because it would mean one thing. Everyone in the village would be killed. It wasn’t what most people in nearby Kingdoms thought either, bandits didn’t rule over the king or threaten him. There wasn’t a bandit that would want to pillage in their town around this time of year, the reason were dark creatures of the night. Vampires one thousand years ago had come to this very village planning to kill every one of them except someone had stricken a deal, they would offer up their purest villager to save the rest of them until the next year when they would come again. And it was that time of year again; one would have to be sacrificed to the vampires while the rest of the village remained safe for the next year.

And while the most pure villager was searched for, they fell short and panicked for they would all be killed this year. But as their designated hunter he thought up a plan because they all knew just who was the purest of them all. It was the kings daughter and he wouldn’t sleep until she was offered up to the beasts and he could set his own trap for them.

It was the middle of the night just before the moon was full a figure emerged from the servant door and another one from the servants room door. The two shadows caught up to each other and took off towards the stables. It was a good hundred yards away from the castle and when they reached the doors they were quietly jammed close behind them. There was a candle lit and in the whirl of cloaks and hushed whispers a young girl’s hood was pulled down revealing her face. It was properly kept clean and worries free as she looked as healthy as anyone could in Hillard. But as the other cloak hood was drawn you could tell that they were from two complete different worlds. The girl sat upon a tack table surrounded by her and the royalty’s horses. As the boy stood between her legs holding her waist, her lips met his multiple times as he continued to pull away looking at the door.

“Someone saw us.” He said nervously knowing just who he was dealing with here. “Shh,” Was all she said pulling him in closer as she held his face in her tiny hands. “No one is awake.” The girl muttered against his soot covered lips, at this point in the certain situation they were in together she hadn’t cared for the dirt smudges she’d come back to her chambers with, but every word that was spoken she grew more and more annoyed, “We shouldn’t do this tonight.” He warned her and it was the last straw for her because she fell back against the wall frustrated, at this point Regan Connolly hadn’t know exactly what made this night any different than the last night or the one before that. “Fine.” The girl muttered wondering just what other boy would be awake at this hour if she hadn’t called on him. She bit her lip in as she thought to herself, clearly she would have to find someone else to come play. The way that the stable boy had looked at her today was a promising look and with a last glance to the carriage boy she rolled her eyes.

“Forget it then,” Regan slid off the table with a huff, pulling her cloak hood back up and blowing the candle out. “But don’t forget exactly who I am.” Her voice was hard and she pushed the threat that she put on every boy’s head. “If you speak about this you’ll be executed for touching me. Not the other way around.” And with that she left with the carriage boy thinking and walking back to his room as she went to fetch the stable boy in his room above where her horse slept.

The next morning she’d been woken up by the knocking of her chamber maids and with a start ran to the mirror only thinking about one thing, last night. Regan had known the stable boy wouldn’t have let her down and she was correct, pulling strands of hay out of her hair she tossed the on the ground then allowed the girls to come in. “Your highness would like to see you Princess Regan.” They looked at her gravely and suddenly stricken with worry she looked at them and nodded. The only thing she thought of being that she’d been ratted on or found out, it was enough to make her sick but clenching her hands together behind her back she was rushed into the bath and made ready to go to breakfast with her father.

Her corset was tight and laced as society liked it to be and making her way to see her father she shook like a leaf. Regan had been caught for sure, was the only thing she could think of, her anger flickering back and forth towards her and the carriage boy who had been more than paranoid before she’d left him. But her father’s stopped her from thinking about it and stepping up to him he only seemed more melancholy than angry with her. It was a good sign or so she thought. “Good morning father.” She said to the King as she tried to catch his eye she knew he was avoiding her and turning to the man he was staring at she noticed just who it was and things flooded towards her at once. “Has Dominic found a sacrifice?” She asked sitting in her chair across the giant dining table. The King nodded and then met her eyes, “He has.” All of the beating around the bush bothered her and she pushed him along to spit out the words.

“My daughter you’ve been offered up as our only hope as the purest in the land.” Her father looked down and slammed both elbow on the table and looked to Dominic who tried to hide a smirk. It instantly rubbed her the wrong way as she moved to comfort her father and pull her own feelings off the ground. She’d been offered to be sacrificed; the only thing was she wasn’t as pure as anyone thought her to be. “We leave at sundown. It is a long trek to the meeting point.” The hunter smiled at her when the king wasn’t looking and she held her shaking hands in her father’s large ones. Not letting her lips slip that she wasn’t the right choice.

The sun had finally hit it’s trek down into the horizon when everyone gathered in the court yard, the sacrifice was always dressed in their nicest things as tradition goes and as Regan kissed her father on the cheek she was about to whisper something and was pulled away at the time she’d worked up the courage. “Come,” The hunter told her harshly and they walked away from the kingdom and up towards the mountains. It was the point where everyone cheered that it wasn’t their child that was offered up to the vampires. As the time was awaited until next year.

As Dominic was the Hunter of Hillard he helped the sacrifice to the vampires. But the one thing that no one else knew that he had a plan to kill off the vampires when the feasted on the girl. After many years of studying he’d found that they were so distracted he could make his move without being detected. It was his first year at this job and he hoped to free Hillard from the beasts that used them. He watched the King’s daughter glare at him as he only laughed at the look he was getting. Dominic couldn’t be fazed by such pettiness. He was practically on death row himself if he didn’t succeed in killing the vampires. That was the only thing that could make the cold man falter.

((I loved it!))

Ellie woke up just before sunrise and turned to Brandyn "The time has come to rise" she said smiling. She nudged him a little. Ellie had come here alone since she and Anthony had left. She had spent too much time dwelling on that. She hadn't even taken her progeny here, she had seen a weakness in Brandyn that Madeline hadn't had. She had seen a weakness that Ellie had. She clicked her tongue a little. She smirked. "It's time for combat" she said excitedly. She looked the boy up and down half awake and again with a bewildered look. "Your moods change like a light switch Ellie" Brandyn said bravely. Ellie narrowed her eyes and thought about this. She may have gotten a few of Anthony's traits in the way that she was. She bit her lip slightly and shrugged her shoulders. She smirked and then nodded "That as it may be, get up" she said with a crooked grin, she was in a better mood than she was last night.

Brandyn wondered how far it was to travel to get to the sacrifice point. Ellie had told him that Anthony and she had only been going there 100 years before Anthony left and since then Ellie went by herself. "You mustn't underestimate the humans" She said looking at him. "They may not be as strong or as fast, but they are cunning and have destroyed better vampires than myself" she said with a slightly sour slur. She looked at Brandyn and narrowed her eyes. "You know that silver injures us. Wooden stakes kill us and crosses hurt us. Holy water burns and garlic makes it hard for us to breathe" She said looking at him. "In previous years, I've had brave huntsmen try outsmart me" She said smiling, "Most of them are taken aback by the fact that I'm female" she said with callousness. "Despite being told that the vampire is female, they see I'm shorter, smaller and petite and beautiful" she said with slight disgust.

"It's a vampire condition to be beautiful, it's how we attract our prey" She said smirking. "They see all these things and automatically assume that because I'm this way. I do not know how to fight and I do not know what's going on around me" she said smirking. "Now fight me" She ordered. Brandyn did as he was told and was also quite surprised about how well she fought. "I've been to many different countries and learnt the martial arts. Japan has quite a developed technique" she said smiling. Brandyn couldn't help but not be surprised. "Do you know many languages?" He said blinking as he was struck to the ground. "Keep this arm in front" she said pulling him up and then positioning him in a better stance. "And yes. I know many, but over the years, things change. Dialects change" she said looking at him and then smirked.

Brandyn was trying his hardest but as he fought Ellie she didn't look as if it were that hard. "Fighting isn't everything" she said stopping them. "Hunters that have studied us know our weaknesses" she said looking at him "And I would not be a good teacher if I don't teach you what it's like to be hurt by them..." She said with seriousness in her voice. "But not here, you're going to need all your strength"

Brandyn wasn't exactly sure what this meant. He sat down and looked at the way out. He knew that it would be dark by now. He wasn't as stupid as Ellie treated him. She was being thorough, they both knew how irresponsible Maddy was, he looked at Ellie and then sighed a little. "What do you have planned?" He said looking at her. She wasn't looking at him. He observed as she gathered a few things and then handed him a makeshift glass with blood in it, "I'm not going to meet the hunter" she said looking at him. She smiled "You will be" Brandyn could feel his eyes widen as she said he would be meeting the hunters every year "W-what?" Ellie smiled at him and rummaged around doing things with her back turned to him. "You can travel and you can do what ever it is you want to do, but after this you will be own your own" she said smiling, he couldn't see it, but Brandyn could hear it in her voice.

"Where will you go?" He said in shock and not sure what to make of this situation. Ellie turned around and looked at him. He couldn't tell what she was thinking. Her poker face was stern and he could never break through it, but from what he had gathered, she didn't like to be alone. She was afraid of being alone it almost seemed.

Ellie shrugged her shoulders. "It's about time where you go off and make something of yourself." She said softly, she didn't want to leave him. She knew that she needed to get over this fear of being alone. She sighed, she always imagined her life a little different. She was going to get married and have a family. She would have a faithful husband and she would have three children, but this wasn't how it happened. "Once they make the sacrifice, you have to protect the kingdom, they need to get the pureblood and can't get one if they have wars and so on" she said smiling. Ellie was good at changing the subject.

Brandyn could see in her eyes that she was torn he stood up "No. I'm not leaving you" He said sternly. He nodded triumphantly and then offered his hand to her, she was like his mother, she was more of a mother to him than his own mother. He hummed a little "Lets go look around this place" he said smiling. Ellie was a bit taken aback that he had taken control. She was glad that he was, but it was in the wrong thing. She smirked and then looked at him. "I've got an idea" she said smiling. She was feeling a bit mischievous. She could smell the hunter. She knew what they smelt like. She looked at him. "Lets see what the hunter is doing" She said winking at Brandyn. She dashed ahead at quick speed until she was a few yards away from the hunter and the pure one. Ellie raised an eye brow, she looked at Brandyn and bit her lip a little "Can you smell that?" She said with a cocked brow. Brandyn nodded and then looked at Ellie. "What do we do?" He said questioningly, Ellie smirked "Wait until we get to the hill" she said smiling.

As the sun continued its path across the sky and back into its resting place the sky continued to get heavier with the violet colors. Orange dripping into red like fading blood. It was almost a too perfect scene since he could remember the sacrifices. Something so brutal but so important to their village's survival. "Keep walking." The hunter who was getting more and more agitated muttered turning back to his position in front of the girl. Since he'd only done this a couple of times edited this girl he was used to the uncontrolled sobbing from them. But this one didn't seem to budge. Her face seemed contorted into what looked to be thought. But he'd never believed women can think on the level of men. So he dismissed it as nonsense, Dominic continued to scale the mountain listening to the set of chains behind him clank about. They usually cast dark circles around their wrists but she didn't seem like the others.

"What's wrong with you?" He barked turning around finally getting annoyed with his own thoughts. And the girl stood their staring at him, but he wasn't able to precisely read her facial expression. It was cold that was indisputable but she seemed to be cold as stone. "I'm trying to ignore the situation at hand now." She simple said turning up her face at him looking him right in the eyes. "I don't see any problem with that. Especially since you are the one muttering to yourself." She rolled her eyes picked up the slender shackled arms of hers and clutching the rich fabric if her cloak she pulled it up above her head. The temperature seemed to drop and the dress she had wore wasn't the usual elaborate dress she was known for.

Although the legend always had the sacrifice dressed accordingly her dress was far from plain, but it clung tightly to her body. Reveling every coiled muscle in her upper half of her body. The cold started to consume her and with every degree dropped her level headedness went away and her reality was coming closer than ever. Her throat caught quickly as in the distance a twig snapped. Her head swiveled towards it but there was nothing, and all the sanity shed held earlier was stripped away. The metal clanking together nervously on her shackled arms was almost sickly music to the hunters ears as he was reaching towards the waist belt under his own cloak for the wooden stake he'd been ready with.

The cross hung heavily from the hollow of his throat, it became heavy as the reality set in. Yet another pure one would be delivered as he was try to arrange the curses death right on his shoulders. "It is now dusk princess. I believe your time is up." The moth of the cave was visible now and snatching the girl by her hair. He heaved her towards the mouth of the cave by her hair and left her as he watched and waited.

((Sorry it's taken a while!))

Ellie watched and sniffed the air again screwing up her face. She handed the young vampire a red cloak. "They are not to see your face and they are not to hear you speak," she said looking at him as he put the cloak on. "Our identity is to stay a mystery" she said sternly. He frowned, "Do they know that it's been a female?" He said. Ellie shrugged her shoulders, this hunter is new, his blood and face looks alike to others I have known, my face has been revealed to only two, one I let get away and the other died a painful death" she said looking at him and smiling. She looked at the hunter and smirked, Ellie stayed in the darkness and then pushed the vampire toward the exit of the cave. She tilted her head as he held out his hand to the young girl. His face did not show over the hood and his eyes could not be seen. The darkness was clear though.

She dashed and silently stood by a tree behind the hunter keeping an eye on him, ensuring that her grandson did not perish at the hands of a human. She bit her lip and then watched, she knew that she had been near death many times having been seduced by the blood. She narrowed her eyes at the pure one. She wasn't sure that they kept much watch on her. She clicked her tongue and then stood taller and proud. She wanted to break the deal and they would be lost, free to kill any who were in this area. She was too close to human when she made Anthony swear. Her eyes were empty now. She did not weep for the humans despair. They were superior. She grinned and looked at Brandyn. "Good boy" she said as silent as the wind that swept through the bushes and trees. She tilted her head and examined the younger vampire.

Brandyn was a little unsure about what he was supposed to do, he really had been thrown in the deep end. He pursed his lips and then as he took the hand of the young girl he bowed and kissed her hand. He could see that she was obviously of a high rank. Her dress spoke royalty. The injustice. He thought, he smirked and then turned his head toward the hunter, he wasn't looking at him, although, it was hard to tell, his eyes were not visible. When her hand was in hers he used a finger to prick her palm and then put the finger in his mouth to ensure her blood was pure and his assumption had been incorrect.

"Such a waste" He said in a deep and husky voice, "It's a great shame my master shan't be here to drink of an impure wench" He said with a distasteful slur. He turned his eyes to the girl and shook his head and moved close to her, in order to whisper softly "Your sacrifice is in vain" He said straightening himself and then bit his lip. He looked at the hunter and smirked, "You know what this means?" He said raising and eyebrow. Maybe they would have thought that the female vampire was a myth now that he had spoken. He looked at the girl, "Your mission is simple... Or is it that this land does not adhere to anyone pure?" He said with an acid tongue. He looked at the Hunter, "Do the men and women not pertain to a set of values and principles outside of wedlock? You sir have been made a fool of" He looked at the girl and shook his head, "And you mistress, have condemned yourself and your land to a world of pain and fear" He said with a crooked grin.

"What say you? Both?" He said looking at them.
