At the moment I spend most of my time with friends, completing school work, playing Xbox 360, or sleeping. I'm currently majoring in computer science and hope to further expand my knowledge of programming and web development. How did you become interested in Harry Potter? As much as I hate to admit it, I jumped on the bandwagon only after seeing the first film in theaters at age 8. I'd heard a little about the books prior to its release, but not enough to really spark an interest. As soon as I'd seen the film I did anything and everything I could to get my hands on the first four books (as those were the only ones released at the time) and read them all in time to see the first film again in theaters before it left. I went to the midnight release parties for the last three books and have been to the last four midnight film releases. Favorite movie: It's impossible to choose just one. Favorite food: Chicken and pizza. Fun Fact: I've been on HEX for more than nine years.

After all, who cares about finishing your major when there's a box of Franz in your fridge and a bowl hidden in your dresser? How did you become interested in Harry Potter? In 4th grade, we were reading one of those "Times for Kids!" magazines with about 2-3 pages total and a worksheet to complete that came with them, and in the bottom right corner, I started reading about Hogsmeade. That very day, I whined and complained loudly enough that my mother let me buy the first book...and then the second book...and then the third. I devoured them, and then stalked the internet ferociously looking for other people like me while waiting for the Goblet of Fire to hit the shelves. I remember going to a summer tennis tournament and wanting to lose just so that I could finish reading the new Harry Potter book. I was hooked from book 1 and became one of those annoying people waiting in line to buy the rest of the books at midnight and then spending the entire night reading until I finished. To be completely honest the first time I started reading HP1 I gave up and put it back in the shelf. Yeah, unforgivable I know. Anyway, at some point I looked at the shelf and saw that I had the first 3 books there and thought that it was a waste. For me having a book to read and not reading it is a crime. So, I started to read HP1 again and I was hooked. It really kind of depends on my mood! How did you become interested in Harry Potter? My first exposure to Harry Potter was not a good experience, and I actually really didn't like it. I was only 9 years old when the first book was released in the States, and when my mom started reading it to me, we didn't get past the first chapter! It was probably a year later when my older friends in grade school said they were reading it for a school assignment, and I decided to try it. I picked it up then and loved it. All that boring college-related stuff, and performing (singing/dancing/acting). How did you become interested in Harry Potter? My friends forced me to read the series. I didn't like them at first, as I was a more 'advanced' (and incredibly annoying) child. I preferred stories like Lord of the Rings and the Chronicles of Narnia. Finally, around my freshman year of highschool, I finally gave the HP series around go. I started with The Prisoner of Azkaban, and I was officially hooked. I loved it enough to finally go back and start from the beginning. I finished the OOTP only MINUTES before the midnight showing, and from there actively read the others to make sure I had them well-read before their showings came out :) And thus, my addiction finally found me, and has still refused to loosen its hold. How did you become interested in Harry Potter? My youngest son was in the 2nd grade when the 2nd HP book came out. I had never heard of Harry Potter, but his teacher asked all the parents to buy a copy of the first book and send it to school for the kids to read. I did, and a couple of weeks later, I found the book in his backpack, with a bookmark stuck in about half-way through. I asked him why he'd brought it home and he said that the school had removed the books from the library and banned it on school property, but that his teacher hoped all the kids would finish it on their own at home. What? Banned, you say? Well, I had to read it, didn't I? I was instantly hooked, and the rest is history - I'm a total potterhead!
